Revolutionary and Priceless: Unveiling the World’s First $644M Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht

The Aqua 112-meter, unveiled at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, is a new hydrogen-powered, futuristic-looking superyacht designed by the creative team at Sinot Yacht Design & Architecture for forward-thinking yacht owners. Aqua’s propulsion system is powered by liquid hydrogen and a fuel cell, making it one of the few vessels with such cutting-edge technology.

This vessel’s exterior design is inspired by the ocean, with lines that seem to flow from front to rear with remarkable fluidity. Aqua’s impressive features include a 360-degree viewing capsule at the ship’s stern and an incredible Aqua room that promises never-before-seen vistas. Adding that it is also opulent would be insufficient.

In the forward portion of the ship, the guest quarters boast impressive features and conveniences. The aft deck features a magnificent staircase and a central waterfall that would inspire awe in any observer. The interior’s lofty ceilings create a sense of expansiveness, and the full-height windows provide unobstructed views of the ocean.

The private area of the owners includes a capacious bathroom, dressing room, and a private spa. In addition, there is a VIP suite suffused with natural light. It is located near the ship’s aft and features a minimalist Japanese design. Among the yacht’s many amenities are a hydro-massage room, a yoga space, and a nice and spacious exercise area at the waterline, producing an impressive effect.

The ship’s propulsion system is powered by electricity generated by the conversion of liquid hydrogen. Additionally, the electricity is disseminated to all shipboard services. Large batteries contain all the electricity, ensuring that the ship always has power. The system generates almost no noise and no vibrations, enhancing the onboard comfort of passengers and contributing to an eco-friendly voyage.

In terms of functionality, the Aqua 112 can travel approximately 3,750 nautical miles at a maximum speed of 17 knots.
