Future-E Tender Concept: The Fusion of Supercar Styling and Marine Innovation

CentrostileDesign, an Italian design firm, has unveiled the Future-E tender concept, a futuristic and fully-electric watercraft inspired by supercars. This concept combines technological elements from the marine, automotive, and aviation sectors.

The Future-E tender is designed in the style of a supercar, with a sleek and aerodynamic aesthetic. It is constructed using 100% recycled carbon fiber, making it entirely recyclable and emission-free.

The watercraft utilizes four foils that, in addition to the motors, provide support and lift the tender out of the water as its speed increases. This innovative design reduces water resistance, allowing the Future-E to reach speeds of up to 30 knots.

When the Future-E is not in use, it can be stowed on the deck of a superyacht, and the foils can serve as a cradle for the watercraft.

Inside, the Future-E features a futuristic and spacious interior capable of accommodating a driver and three passengers. The dashboard is equipped with wraparound screens, creating an immersive and high-tech driving experience. The concept aims to provide a “flying car on the water” sensation.

Overall, the Future-E tender concept represents a cutting-edge approach to watercraft design, combining elements of supercars, aviation, and marine technology to create an emission-free and innovative waterborne vehicle.

Revolutionary Infiniti 60 Powercat: A Fusion of Style and Efficiency by Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts

Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts, both distinguished British yacht builders, have joined forces to unveil a groundbreaking 18.3-meter multihull model, aptly named the Infiniti 60 Powercat. This remarkable yacht combines sporty coupé styling with cutting-edge foiling technology designed to achieve a remarkable 35 percent reduction in fuel consumption.

Manufactured in Southampton, the Infiniti 60 Powercat is the larger sibling of the previously successful Infiniti 36 and Infiniti 52 models, extending the fruitful collaboration between Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts.

The yacht is designed to serve multiple purposes, making it suitable as a superyacht tender, a fishing vessel, or a compact liveaboard. It offers extensive customization options, including the choice of two, three, or four cabins. There are two primary formats available: the standard Coupé and the Grand Tourer Flybridge version.

To infuse the yacht with a distinctive style, Design Unlimited has been enlisted, collaborating closely with Infiniti Yachts and Concept Yachts. The yacht’s relatively modest beam of six meters allows it to comfortably berth in conventional slips, and it boasts “beachable” capabilities, seamlessly transitioning from sea to land.

Efficiency is at the forefront of the yacht’s design philosophy. Constructed from resin-infused carbon fiber, it offers various propulsion options, including petrol, diesel, and electric. The retractable DSS (Dynamic Stability System) foil is a standard feature, and Gordon Kay, the founder of Infiniti Yachts, played a pivotal role in developing the DSS system found on the Baltic 142 foiling yacht, Canova.

Together, Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts bring over two decades of experience to the superyacht sector. Denison Yachting will also collaborate with Concept Yachts as its sales and marketing partner, further solidifying the yacht’s market presence.

Exploring the Extreme: A Test Drive of the 43WallyTender X at the Venice Boat Show

The “X” in the 43WallyTender X’s name doesn’t stand for ordinary – it signifies extreme, and this 13.2-meter marvel certainly lives up to that expectation. BOAT had the privilege of taking it for a spin…

I find myself in a shipyard with a history spanning over 700 years, a vast and picturesque expanse measured not in square meters but in hectares. I’m referring to the Arsenale di Venezia, now an intriguing coexistence of Italy’s Marina Militare and the Venice Biennale art exhibition. This unlikely pairing juxtaposes a 1968 submarine with a tree sculpture by Giuseppe Penone.

The visit to this location alone would be worth the trip, but today, the Arsenale is hosting the Venice Boat Show. On this special day, I have the incredible opportunity to test the brand-new 43WallyTender X alongside Stefano de Vivo, Wally’s managing director, and Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder and president. It’s a harmonious blend of Italy’s maritime heritage and its cutting-edge present: we board the super-sleek, ultra-modern boat from the historic docks of La Serenissima, slowly making our way between the ancient brick and stone towers that once guarded the entrance to the Arsenale, tracing the same route taken by the ships that secured the legendary naval victory at Lepanto in 1571.

Wally, after causing ripples in the world’s top yacht clubs with innovative sailing vessels that combined speed on the regatta course with cruising comfort, ventured into powerboat construction in the early 2000s. As we depart the dock, Bassani reflects on this evolution, saying, “We created a market that hadn’t existed up until then. I started to ask myself why we should limit ourselves to seeing tenders as small boats that you load onto larger boats when they could be more independent and used more widely. It all depends on the product you make. Like in any manufacturing business, if you make an innovative, quality product that works, it’s only logical that it finds its market.” Bassani, prior to founding Wally, played a pivotal role in his family’s highly successful electrical equipment company.

While acknowledging that the initial 118 WallyPower faced some challenges, Bassani also recognizes it as a trailblazer. Its design was unabashedly modern and aggressive, its attitude was unapologetically divisive – either you loved it or you didn’t – and its main selling points were technology and performance. “It’s somewhat akin to today’s race to space travel,” he reflects. “Some of us might be asking, ‘What do I need that for?’ but in a few years, we may see that they opened a market segment that hadn’t found its calling yet.” By the time it joined the Ferretti Group in 2019, Wally had already clinched a couple of Italy’s prestigious Compasso d’Oro design awards as the first shipyard to seamlessly integrate both sail and power options into its fleet.

Breathtaking Meyer Yachts TWO10: Unveiling a 210m Concept at the Monaco Yacht Show

At the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, Meyer Yachts, the superyacht division of Meyer Werft, has taken the wraps off an impressive new 210-meter superyacht concept named TWO10.

Designed with a sleek and slender profile by Meyer Yachts’ in-house team, TWO10 manages to conceal its massive size while serving as an inspiration for discerning owners in search of their next maritime masterpiece.

Among its standout features is a helipad located at the bow, which ingeniously doubles as a tennis court. This innovative space comes complete with a fine-mesh net that can be set up for tennis matches. Additionally, TWO10 boasts a beach club that spans two decks and boasts a suspended infinity pool. Below this area is a glass gallery balcony furnished with comfortable couches and coffee tables, along with a well-appointed bar.

One of the most striking features of TWO10 is its stern, which boasts the largest pane of glass ever installed on a vessel, offering breathtaking views and creating a truly immersive experience.

Lars Kruse, Director of Sales at Meyer Yachts, expressed his enthusiasm at the show, stating, “The TWO10 exemplifies the Meyer Group’s capabilities in every respect, and we are currently very pleased with the response to our yachting activities.”

The TWO10 concept represents the second design unveiled by the shipyard, following the introduction of the 150-foot ONE50 concept at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2017.

Meyer Yachts, traditionally known for constructing some of the world’s largest cruise ships, established its superyacht division just a year ago. Leveraging Meyer Group’s extensive experience in the cruising industry, the shipyard is poised to position itself at the pinnacle of the market, with ambitions to construct “the world’s largest and greenest mega yachts,” capable of reaching lengths of up to 500 meters.

Ocean-View Marvel: Nick Stark’s 64m Superyacht Design Prioritizes Panoramic Vistas

Nick Stark Design has unveiled designs for a 64-meter superyacht with a focus on ocean views.

The designer of Project Grace has prioritised how the interior can maximise views for passengers. “It is easy to forget that owners experience the yacht from the inside out – a stunning silhouette is beautiful, but you will spend the majority of your time on board gazing out, not in. Nick Stark, the yacht’s naval architect and designer, explained that attention to glazing detail is vital.

This is most evident in the main saloon on the main deck, which features floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic views while at sea.

In addition to providing light and views Project Grace is also concerned with blending public and private spaces. There is a designated party area on the main deck, which can be outfitted with a custom sound, DJ, and lighting system. A private sundeck with a Jacuzzi, loungers and a bar will provide a more tranquil area elsewhere.

The three-deck yacht could accommodate up to twelve passengers. There are two full-beam VIP suites and a separate owner’s cabin on the main deck.

Connecting the interior and exterior spaces is a crucial element of Stark’s design. The wellness and pool area on the main deck lead to the beach club, which provides direct access to the sea.

“We anticipate an aluminium structure that is optimal in terms of weight and performance,” stated Stark regarding the proposed building materials. “However, there is an argument for a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure if the client so desires.”

This is the second concept to emerge from the Australian design studio after the 94-meter Project Crystal, which was unveiled earlier this year.

Unveiling Ken Freivokh’s Spectacular 140m Superyacht Design

Ken Freivokh has unveiled his most recent concept for a 140-meter superyacht. This spectacular design emphasises adaptability and luxury features, such as a retractable hangar for a helicopter and an observation bubble constructed into the bow for panoramic ocean views.

Up to 20 visitors are accommodated in ten staterooms, including a master suite on the upper deck with its own study, cinema room and secret lift leading to the owner’s private delicatessen on the lower deck.

The ship’s public spaces include a certified IMAX theatre, an upper-deck gentleman’s club, and a main-deck saloon with a fold-out veranda and a rotating dining area.

Guests can soak up the sun on deck in the foredeck waterfall pool or at the superyacht beach club, where the 13-meter-long swimming pool doubles as the primary tender dock. The oceanfront club’s proximity to a spa, fitness centre, and beauty salon make it a true relaxation hub.

The design includes a side-loading 11-meter tender garage amidships that can accommodate up to six limousines and beachlanders, and a foredeck locker for all other essential water toys.

Privacy was also a major concern, as evidenced by the crew quarters’ vertical integration, which allows staff to conduct day-to-day tasks in private.

Freivokh is no novice to the world of large superyachts, having lent his expertise to projects such as Maltese Falcon, Black Pearl, and Euphoria.

Step Inside the Exquisite Interiors of Theodoros Fotiadis’ 118m Concept Yacht, Vitality

Theodoros Fotiadis, a yacht designer based in Berlin, has released additional information about his 118-meter Vitality concept, including the first interior renderings.

Vitality was introduced in 2015 and features clear exterior lines and an abundance of exterior spaces. This yacht design made of steel and aluminium would have a beam of 17.3 metres and a maximum draught of 4.8 metres.

After attracting the attention of a potential client, Fotiadis told Boat International that he has moved on to the interior design phase.

With a total interior space of 5,180GT, there is ample space for 18 guests and 22 crewmembers to spread out and unwind. A superyacht helipad is located on the foredeck, with space for eight sun loungers nearby. Eight additional sunloungers would be placed on the aft deck around the superyacht’s expansive swimming pool.

As depicted in the above renderings, the foredeck would seamlessly transition into the bow lounge, where guests can unwind on the two large curved sofas or enjoy a formal meal at the dining table, which is illuminated by a spectacular chandelier. A large nautilus shell motif on the midships bulkhead of the Vitality contributes to its beach club atmosphere.

The vessel would be powered by four MTU 20V4000 M93L engines for a maximum speed of 22 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 18 knots. Moreover, with a total fuel capacity of more than 880,000 litres, Vitality should be able to achieve a truly impressive range.
