People Wonder Why King Charles’ Illness Was Announced While Kate Middleton’s Condition Remains Silent. There’s a Reason

King Charles and Kate Middleton have both suffered serious health problems at almost the same time. Buckingham Palace announced that the King had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the details of Kate’s condition are being kept secret, fuelling rumours. In reality, there is a reason for the secrecy.

The source from the palace said, “It was sensible to be more open about it, as otherwise, people might have thought the worst.” In their official statement, they explained that King Charles wanted to talk about his diagnosis so that others wouldn’t feel weird about getting treatment.

And it seems to have worked. Magazines say that after the king’s announcement, there was a huge 1,000% increase in people checking information about prostate enlargement on the U.K.’s National Health Service website.

The decision to tell everyone about King Charles’ medical procedure beforehand was because they wanted to avoid rumors and worries. They thought it would be better to be open and create a supportive environment.

On the other hand, they waited to share news about Kate’s surgery to give her some privacy during the process.

This careful decision-making also considered the different types of surgeries and how people see King Charles and Kate Middleton. By doing this, Buckingham Palace managed to share information while respecting privacy, and they even sparked more interest in health discussions among the public.

Princess Kate had an operation on her tummy. A royal insider says she’s “doing well.” She had to be in the hospital for 10 to 14 days, and she’d need then three months to get better at home. Even though the palace didn’t say what exactly was wrong, they did mention it’s not cancer.

The palace shared a message from Kate, saying she’s thankful for everyone’s interest. She hopes people understand her wanting things to be normal for her kids and that her health details stay private.

Doctors recommended that Charles withdraw from public-facing responsibilities, but the palace emphasized that he would still fulfill state duties and handle paperwork. Charles is anticipated to receive his daily red boxes containing government papers, allowing him to work through state documents from home.

The absence of the king will be keenly felt. As Kate continues to recover, there are few young members of the royal family present. Prince Harry flew in to visit his father, but spent only twenty-six hours in London, during which he met with his father for less than an hour. He did not see William.

The obvious solution will be for William to step into his father’s role in the coming months. He has already begun this process. Last week, after a brief absence while helping care for Kate, he returned to public duties.

This Star Is Now Living Privately with Famous Spouse – He Proposed on 2nd Date & Still Loves Her at Any Weight

Delta Burke had once been in the center of the spotlight with project after project lining up for her, but after leaving “Designing Women,” her fame and work also started to fizzle out.

After having almost not-so-successful projects, the actress decided to stay out of the spotlight and live life like a regular citizen.

Despite her many changes, her husband of more than three decades declared he would still love her no matter what. Here’s a look into Delta Burke’s life.

Delta Burke came into the limelight when she won the Miss Florida title in 1974. She went on to the Miss America Pageant, won a talent scholarship, and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Burke got into film in 1979 when she starred in “The Seekers” and “The Chisholms.” However, she is best known as Suzanne Sugarbaker in the 1986 series “Designing Women.”

She started a production company that produced “Delta” and “Women of the House,” and Burke starred in both projects. Later, she started her clothing design company called Delta Burke Design.

Burke took the role of Suzanne Sugarbaker in “Designing Women” for five out of the seven seasons the show ran for because the show’s producers fired her.

After firing her, she said the executive producers, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason and Harry Thomason, psychologically abused her.

However, the executive producers and the show’s stars said Burke made things difficult for everybody, so they fired her. Burke said,

“Basically, it became unbearable into the second season for me. By the end of the fourth season, I just couldn’t live like that anymore.”

Burke described the work environment as bizarre, and people didn’t believe her. She then went to ask for help from people who had power, and they didn’t help her.

Even though she missed her character after a few months, she said she had no regrets about being off the show. After over a year, she said she had gotten used to her weight but wanted to lose some pounds.

But after leaving “Designing Women,” she changed her looks and was reportedly looking heavier than before in the next series she starred in titled “Dayo.”

In 2012, while shooting her show “Counter Culture,” Burke fell. The fall led to the cancellation of the show. After that, Burke stayed out of the spotlight for some years.

Later, when she was spotted going out for lunch, she looked entirely different. In place of her signature bouffant hair was a brunette bob, and she ditched the vivid lipstick for a relatively makeup-free face.

The actress who suffered very public weight battles had also lost some weight. Besides weight problems, she had battled with depression, hoarding problems, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

In 2008, she sought treatment at a psychiatric hospital, and even though she wasn’t looking forward to any work, she felt more than happy with life.

Burke, who is healthier and happier, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. However, she said her husband, Gerald McRaney, always reminds her what to eat and what not to eat.

Despite everything she and her husband have gone through, her husband will always love her no matter what. She said,

“Mac loves me no matter what. He loved me when I got as big as a house. He loved me when I was a blonde.”

She said her husband didn’t tell her he hated her blonde hair until she returned to brunette. He always loved her through any situation and still thinks her body looks great even though she feels it does not.

Burke and McRaney met in 1987 when she was a guest star on his detective show “Simon & Simon.” He knew he had competition, but McRaney was not ready to let her go.

McRaney asked her to marry him on their second date even though his friends were against it. They never wanted him to marry an actress, but McRaney knew only an actress would understand his work hours.

In 1989, they got married, and their marriage was McRaney’s third marriage but Burke’s first.

McRaney started acting in junior high school after injuring his knees during a football session. He was a guest star on “Gunsmoke: Hard Labor” before making his big break on “Simon & Simon” in 1981.

Burke and the “This Is Us” actor never had children together, but she became the proud stepmom to his kids from his previous marriages.

The couple worked together on different projects, and McRaney revealed that, unlike other couples, they do better when they are together 24/7.

After over three decades, McRaney revealed that the secret to him being happily married is because of who he married. The couple bought a home in Central Florida, where they permanently reside.

Burke grew up in the area, and they got back there to enjoy the remainder of their lives together as best they can. The couple planned to go fishing, shelling, spend time at the beach, and more.

According to McRaney, he loves working with Burke, but she has given up show business, and he thinks “she’s sort of over it.” However, he believes that she might change her mind with the right project.

For Burke, a life away from acting means spending more time designing clothing, managing her company, or traveling with her husband.

Her design company, which came to life in 1994, initially offered clothing items, but in recent times, the brand focuses on swimsuits and lingerie for plus-size women in sizes 14 to 26.

Burke had started the company because she struggled to find flattering and comfortable outfits for plus-sized ladies.

Burke has lived like an average civilian out of the spotlight and fame. She would occasionally be seen grocery shopping with her husband.

A fan took to Twitter to share that she once saw Burke and her husband eating pancakes at a diner-style restaurant in Los Angeles.

Unbelievable! Rio the Golden Retriever Gives Birth to a Green Puppy!

Introducing Rio, a stunning golden retriever who just shocked her owners by giving birth to nine gorgeous puppies. A dog with vivid green fur stood out among the typical golden coat, though! Is it really true?

When the owners noticed this strange sight, they were totally shocked. You don’t come across a green puppy every day! Surprisingly, though, it has happened previously as well. Actually, there have only ever been three documented examples of green puppies.

What then might be the reason for this unusual phenomenon? German scientists speculate that it might be because the puppies were exposed to biliverdin, a green pigment produced in the placenta that is associated with bile. Strange as it may sound, this pigment can occasionally give puppies a brief green tint at birth.

When Louise Sutherland initially saw Rio’s green fur, she was taken aback by her surprise emerald-colored puppy and couldn’t believe what she was seeing. “We were in shock,” she remarked to The Sun. The green puppy’s story swiftly went viral and won people over all over the world.

The intriguing thing is that the green hue isn’t there for very long. Their devoted mother’s soothing baths helped the green to gradually disappear. This unusual tiny puppy soon resembled his siblings in appearance. However, Louise didn’t care about that. She had already developed a unique relationship with him and had chosen to name him Forest in honor of his remarkable beginning in life.

What would it be like to own a green puppy? It’s a really amazing and really adorable sight. Let’s all wish Forest the very best on his life’s adventure! Spread the word about this cute green fur ball’s individuality and happiness by sharing it with others.

Dad Devises The Ultimate Punishment To Teach Cruel Daughter A Lesson

A Reddit user named HallNum032 came to the site to get help because his 16-year-old daughter’s behavior was getting worse all the time. When she started hanging out with a different group of people at school, he saw that she had changed how she was acting.

They no longer knew the quiet, nice girl who used to be their daughter. She began to say mean things about other people and comment on how they looked and what they had.

The worried father sat his daughter down more than once to talk about her bad behavior because he was worried about how she was growing up. He even said that her attitude made the people around her feel bad.

One person who was always influenced by his daughter’s behavior was their housekeeper. The man said, “My daughter has picked her to be her subject for hair, clothes, and “etiquette criticism.”

The housekeeper finally told her bosses that their daughter was calling her rude names when she could take it no longer. She would call their housekeeper “filthy” and “gross” for cleaning up all of their mess.

When his daughter did that, the dad felt bad about herself. He stood up for her and told her that if she did anything else wrong to their housekeeper, she would get in trouble, which she wouldn’t want.

A few days later, she went to her dad and told him she had looked everywhere but couldn’t find her phone.

He thought she would finally pay attention after telling her so many times. But his daughter kept calling their helper “filthy,” so the 16-year-old was sent to her room. The teenager lose it and starts to say that the housekeeper is lying.

She had a party that same day, but her father wouldn’t let her go because of what she did. She was furious and said the housekeeper was to blame she couldn’t go out.

A few days later, she went to her dad and told him she had looked everywhere but couldn’t find her phone. The girl asked her dad to call her, and he did. To his and his wife’s surprise, the housemaid’s bag rang with a phone call.

He told their housekeeper right away, and she strongly denied it, crying that she had not touched the phone and had no idea how it got to her bag. At that time, the daughter kept calling the housekeeper a “thief.”

His daughter was told to stop and go to her room. The high school junior didn’t think that her bad behavior would make her father not trust her and that he would do things to try to find out the truth.

What happened when the Reddit user found the real “thief”?

Before choosing what to do, HallNum032 looked at their security camera and was shocked by what he saw. The parent saw their daughter put the phone in the bag of toy maid. The man was angry that his daughter had set up the woman who wasn’t guilty.

“I said what she did was immoral and straight-up offensive to tamper with that poor woman’s livelihood over a petty party she couldn’t go to.”

The man was running out of ways to punish his daughter at this point. He knew that making her sleep in the garden would teach her a lesson because she was afraid of germs.

His daughter asked him not to make her sleep in the dirt, but he wouldn’t give in. He told her he would make her do it for two nights if she didn’t agree. His wife told him not to be so rough with their daughter.

He didn’t back down and told them that their daughter needed to learn a lesson because it was wrong to call people names and accuse them of theft. HallNum032 put his story online to find out if what he did was wrong.

What did people think about the Redditor’s story?

The dad was told that his daughter needed to learn a lesson, which was one way to do it. Some people, though, asked why he didn’t pick a different punishment, like making her do jobs around the house or taking away her phone.

He said he had already tried all of these. For days, his daughter refused to eat so she wouldn’t have to do housework, and she ended up having to go to the emergency room for low blood pressure. Someone else agreed with the parent that he was wrong, but they believed that he should have paid the helper for a week off.

The man’s daughter should have done the work instead, but she shouldn’t have been paid for it. Still another reader said the father should have made his daughter do the housekeeper’s work for two weeks and that he was right to punish her in a way that would make her face reality.

“Punishment doesn’t fit the crime.”

Someone on Reddit thought that the child’s phone should have been sold as a punishment, and the money from the sale should have been given to the helper. For punishment, they thought the girl should do housework, chores, or something for the community. They also said:

“Buy her a Nokia brick if she needs a phone to keep in contact with her.”

Some people didn’t like how the dad punished his daughter because they thought the punishment wasn’t right for the crime. Instead, they thought that the child’s phone should be taken away while she did the helper’s work for a year and a month.

People thought that HallNum032 should have let the girl starve herself and stopped when she saw that it wasn’t working. The parent was meant to threaten to get the teen hospitalized for anorexia if she didn’t give up.

Someone else didn’t think the dad did anything wrong, but they did think that punishing his daughter wouldn’t make her behave better right away. Their helper was handled like a “subpar being” and the child lied and blamed her. This made them think there were bigger problems going on.

Robert Downey Jr. Is Lucky to Have ‘Sane’ Wife for 18 Years – She Set Rules to Save Their Relationship

Robert Downey Jr. is known for his appearances in some of the biggest films in the industry like “Iron Man” and “Oppenheimer.” However, his journey and reputation in the industry have taken a few hits. Fortunately, Robert met his wife Susan who helped end his drug addiction for good.

However, alongside being counted among the greatest actors in the industry, his name has also been linked to his struggle with drugs and multiple relapses. Robert’s introduction to drugs began at a young age when he shared his first joint with his father at eight.

His mother struggled with alcoholism for a long time. But when the actor started making strides in his career, such as his Oscar nomination for “Chaplin,” he hit rock bottom when he drove down Sunset Boulevard naked.

The actor was then arrested for trespassing after entering a stranger’s house and falling asleep on a child’s bed. That was not the end of his problems. In 1999, he failed to appear in court and was sentenced to three years in California state prison. He served almost a year and, fortunately, landed an acting job on “Ally McBeal.”

As much as it seemed like the actor was getting back on track, he was arrested again in Palm Springs, where he was found with three bags of cocaine, a loaded gun, and a Wonder Woman costume. These behaviors led to his removal from “Ally McBeal,” and he was written off as a lost cause by David E. Kelley.

However, one person came into Robert’s life and inspired him to better himself: his wife, Susan Downey. Susan is a producer known for films like “The Book of Eli” and “Sherlock Holmes.” The couple had different upbringings: Susan was a dedicated student in Chicago, raised by her businessman father and a hands-on mother who was on a PTA board. She eventually graduated summa cum laude from USC.

On the flip side, Robert grew up in Hollywood and dropped out of high school. His director father put him in front of the camera at five in one of his underground films. But despite their differences, the two ended up in the same industry and met on the set of the thriller “Gothika,” which Susan was producing. The film starred Halle Berry, but the producer wanted to set clear boundaries and did not want to have any romantic connection with anyone on set.

Nonetheless, when the set crew went out for lunch, Susan recalled that Halle and the director joined them, but her first encounter with who would end up being her husband was very peculiar. While everyone ordered Japanese food, Robert brought out oatmeal and started raving about how much a superfood it was. He also brought a variety of herbs and started doing yoga poses. “I mean, he was interesting but weird,” recalled Susan.

Eventually, Susan gave Robert a chance and accepted his marriage proposal, on the condition that it would be a long engagement. The producer insisted that Robert should first give up drugs completely, and should he relapse, then she would leave.

However, Susan, 50, admitted that she did not know much about how difficult it was to battle addiction. “Addiction was so foreign to me. I was incredibly ignorant of the hold it had on people,” she expressed.

Robert loved that his wife was not familiar with the darkness of addiction. “If she knew the depths of my depravity, we would not be sitting here,” he admitted. The two then got married two years after their engagement in August 2005, in the Hamptons.

As one of the longest-standing couples in Hollywood, the couple has set rules on how to maintain a healthy marriage that works with their demanding schedules. Susan and Robert promised never to spend more than two weeks apart. Even when traveling, they always tried to find a way to cohabit. However, they found more opportunities to work together with Robert bringing his wife along on “Iron Man 2” and the comedy “Due Date.”

The more time they spent working together, especially after starting their production company, “Team Downey,” they reduced their two-week rule to a one-week rule. “Our feeling was, if we wanted to spend time together, have a life together, then we should just go ahead and make movies together,” said Susan Downey.

Robert recently won a SAG award for his performance in “Oppenheimer” and mentioned a list of actors that had been monumental in his career, but at the end of it, he had his wife’s name. He joked and thanked her for making it look like it was easy to be married to an actor of his caliber. Then he ended his speech by thanking his children, Indio, Exton, and daughter Avri Roel Downey.

Fans loved that Robert kept his speech funny as usual and pointed out how much they loved his wife, “One can always count on a witty speech from RDJ. Susan sure is amazing & they are a lovely couple. Congrats to RDJ for his well-deserved win!” remarked a fan. While another added, “They are such a lovely couple. Congrats to RDJ for his well-deserved win!”

Fans also loved how much Robert always spoke fondly of his wife, “The way Robert Downey Jr. talks about his wife gets me every single time. He loves that woman, and she definitely helped craft him into the man he is today. Susan Downey, you are amazing!!!” remarked another fan.

The actor also shared a photo of him and his wife from the SAG Awards and thanked the organization for acknowledging the film. He shared another picture from the BAFTA award ceremony with his wife expressing how appreciative he was for the recognition of the cinematic work in “Oppenheimer.”

In another sweet Instagram post, Robert Downey Jr. shared a quirky picture of him and his wife, highlighting how much he loved that his wife handled his playful character, he wrote, “To she who lovingly tolerates my many shenanigans, I pledge my undying love.” After 18 years, the couple’s love is still in “bloom.”

I Tracked My Suspicious Boyfriend Straight to the Cemetery – If Only I Had Known Whom He Came to Visit

When Jill’s boyfriend, Emmet, refuses to tell where he travels every month, she starts to suspect the worst. She couldn’t imagine that he was visiting someone very familiar to her.

I didn’t want to be the paranoid girlfriend, but his secretive outings made me uneasy. Every time I asked, he’d brush it off, saying it was just some personal time he needed. I trusted him, but the consistent secrecy nagged at me.

Now, I need to give you a bit of a backstory for this to make sense. I had an older sister, Amber, who suddenly left home when I was just 15. She cut all ties with our family, and we never heard from her again. Her departure left a gaping hole in my life and an ever-present fear that those I love could just disappear without warning.

This old anxiety resurfaced with Emmet’s behavior. The fear of abandonment I felt with my sister started to echo in my relationship, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that Emmet might just up and leave like Amber did.

For months, I agonized over whether to confront Emmet about his secretive outings or just let it be. But each time he slipped away, my anxiety spiked, reminding me of when my sister Amber left without a word. That old fear of abandonment crept in, making me restless and suspicious.

I debated with myself endlessly. Following him felt like a massive breach of trust, something I never thought I’d consider. But then, part of me argued that if everything was above board, he wouldn’t be so secretive, right? The not knowing became unbearable, and I felt like I was losing my mind.

So, one sunny Saturday, when Emmet went on his usual monthly excursion, I decided to follow him. My heart was pounding, and my hands were sweaty as I started my car and kept a safe distance behind him. The entire drive, my mind was racing with possibilities. Was he meeting someone? Was he involved in something illegal? Or was it something entirely benign, and I was just being paranoid?

As we drove, the area became more familiar, and then it hit me – we were nearing the local cemetery. My initial reaction was confusion. A cemetery? Why would he come here every month? My thoughts spiraled, considering every possible reason, but none fit the Emmet I knew.

Parking my car a bit away, I followed him on foot, staying far enough behind to avoid detection. My heart was in my throat with every step, and my brain was screaming, “What are you doing?!” But I needed to know the truth.

When he finally stopped at a grave, I hid behind a large oak tree, watching him. He just stood there, looking down, his shoulders heavy with what I assumed was grief. At that moment, my fear and confusion turned into a profound sadness. Seeing him like this, vulnerable and alone, made me realize this wasn’t about betrayal; it was about pain.

After minutes that felt like hours watching Emmet stand by the grave, my heart pounding and my mind racing, I couldn’t take the suspense anymore. Driven by a mix of fear, curiosity, and a desperate need for the truth, I stepped out of the shadows and called out to him. “Emmet, what are you doing here?”

He spun around, visibly startled, his face going white as a sheet. “God…You freaked me out!! What the hell are you doing here?!” His shock mirrored my own, but I needed answers.

“I had to follow you,” I said. “You disappear every month, and I… I just need to know, who’s buried here?”

For a moment, he just stared at me, his mouth opening and closing as if struggling to find the right words. Then, with a heavy sigh, he spoke. “That’s my wife. She… she died three years ago.”

My mind went blank. Wife? He never mentioned a wife, let alone that he was a widower. The world seemed to tilt as I processed his words. I walked closer to the grave, my eyes catching the name on the tombstone: Amber. My sister’s name.

When I saw the photo by the tombstone, my confusion turned to shock. The familiar redhead stared at me. My sister, Amber, was Emmet’s wife? How could this be? My heart raced, and my thoughts spiraled. The pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in the most unexpected and devastating way.

“Amber… your wife is my sister. How is this possible?”

Emmet looked at me, his expression a mix of confusion and realization. The air between us was thick with unsaid words and unasked questions. We stood there, two people connected by a woman who had left a void in both our lives, now united in our grief and disbelief at the cemetery that held her secrets.

The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on us, and as the initial shock wore off, we started to talk. Really talk. About Amber, about how they met, about their life together, and how he was left alone.

As we conversed beside her grave, I realized that this was just the beginning of a long, complicated journey of understanding and healing. My sister’s actions, her marriage to Emmet, and her untimely death were all pieces of a puzzle I never knew I needed to assemble.

Emmet started by explaining how Amber was adamant about keeping her past, including her family, a mystery. They met through mutual friends and quickly fell in love. Emmet described their life together as blissful; they were deeply in love, enjoying every moment, and were even trying to start a family.

The way Emmet spoke about Amber painted a picture of a woman I hardly recognized, yet it felt like I was getting to know my sister for the first time. They had dreams and plans, just like any other couple in love. But then, tragedy struck.

Emmet recounted the day that changed everything: they were in a terrible car accident. Amber was driving, and despite it not being her fault, she didn’t survive. Emmet escaped with minor physical injuries, but his heart was shattered. He blamed himself for the accident, even though he knew, deep down, it wasn’t his fault.

For three years, he’s been grappling with guilt and grief, leading him to visit Amber’s grave every month. It was his way of coping, of staying connected to her, and of dealing with the overwhelming loss.

Hearing Emmet talk about Amber and their life together, and seeing the pain he still carries, was incredibly moving. I realized that the mysterious trips were his attempts to heal, to keep Amber’s memory alive, and to perhaps find forgiveness in himself.

After digesting everything Emmet shared about his life with Amber, I felt it was time to provide him with some closure from her past, which, in a way, was also my journey to confronting our family’s dark secrets.

I decided to tell Emmet why Amber might have chosen to sever ties with our family. It was a difficult story to tell, one that painted our family in a less than favorable light, but it was necessary for both of us to fully understand her actions.

I explained to Emmet that before she disappeared, Amber had been married once before. She found out that her husband was having an affair with a colleague. The betrayal was devastating enough, but what compounded her pain was our family’s reaction.

Our parents, fearing the scandal and the family’s reputation, decided to sweep the matter under the rug. They pressured me, then just a teenager, to remain silent and not to support Amber publicly.

Amber felt utterly betrayed by those she trusted most. Not only by her husband but also by her own family. So, she chose to leave everything behind, including me. I was just a kid, and although I was coerced into silence, I couldn’t shake off the feeling of guilt for not standing by her.

As I shared this painful part of our past, Emmet listened intently. After I finished, there was a heavy silence. Then, he mentioned something that struck a chord. He recalled a rare moment when Amber, in a reflective mood, mentioned missing her little sister.

She never elaborated, but it was clear to Emmet now that she harbored no ill will towards me. She knew I was just a pawn in our parents’ misguided attempts to protect the family’s image.

This revelation was a turning point for me. Understanding that Amber didn’t blame me lifted a weight off my shoulders. It also showed me that despite the distance and silence, there was still love and perhaps a desire for reconciliation that never had the chance to materialize.

Sharing these revelations with Emmet not only helped bridge the gap between our understanding of Amber but also allowed us to start healing from the separate yet connected pain we’ve carried. We’ve begun to piece together the puzzle of her life, finding solace in understanding her actions and the choices she made.

I’m gradually coming to terms with the past, and with Emmet’s help, I’m learning to forgive myself and our family for the roles we played in Amber’s story. It’s a slow process, but one that’s necessary for both of us to move forward.

The Stuka Dive Bomber: Hitler’s Ultimate Terror Weapon

Perhaps no weapon was as closely associated with the Nazi German in early in World War II as the Stuka dive bomber, infamous for howling, near-vertical dive attacks on warships, battlefield targets and defenseless civilian communities like merciless birds of prey.

However, the Stuka’s reputation did not survive the war it helped kick-off as it proved less and less survivable in the face of capable opposition.

The dive bomber was a solution to a timeless challenge in military aviation: how to ensure weapons dropped by fast-moving aircraft land anywhere near a point target like a warship, artillery battery or fortification. Precision was an especially big problem in an era where tactical aircraft could carry only light, unguided bombs.

In the early 1930s, German World War I ace and stuntmen Ernst Udet was impressed by American F11C Goshawk fighters he saw perform steep dive-bombing attacks.  Upon joining the Nazi Party in 1933 he imported two Goshawks for test-flying and insisted the fledgling Luftwaffe develop a specialized dive bomber—an aircraft that could withstand the strain of pulling out of steep dives without smashing into the ground or ripping its wings off.

Engineer Hermann Pohlmann of the Junkers company devised a two-seat monoplane with fixed landing gear covered by spiffy ‘spats’ and distinctive inverted gull-wings that helped lift the fuselage high enough off the ground to accommodate its large propeller. In addition to two rifle-caliber machineguns in the wings, the radio operator had a rearward-facing gun to protect against enemy fighters.

Powered by a Jumo 211 engine, the Ju 87 beat out competing models in an aircraft design competition and saw initial combat-testing in the Spanish Civil War in 1938-1939. The Stuka was slow with a maximum speed of 200-240 miles per hour in level flight and had a short combat radius of only 245 miles. It typically carried a single 551-pound bomb under the fuselage (released by a crutch-like dispenser to avoid hitting the propeller) and four 110-pound bombs under the wings.

Stuka pilots spotted targets through a floor window, then rolled their aircraft completely around into a dive as steep as 90 degrees. Underwing dive brakes would extend automatically, controlling diving speed to just over 350 miles per hour, buying the pilot time to line up his attack using controls switched to ‘dive mode’ and lines etched into canopy side to judge his dive angle.

Special propeller-sirens on their landing gear called Trumpets of Jericho produced an infamous howling sound intended to terrorize bystanders on the ground.  However, the sirens were later removed as they reduced speed by 5-10%.

Pilots typically released bombs at just 1,500 feet and then engaged an automated system to yank the Stuka upwards. This was vital, as such dives exerted five to six times the force of gravity on the pilot, constraining blood flow to the brain and causing temporary “grey-outs.”

Even the purpose-built Stuka was not immune to the dangers of this method of attacks. Two weeks prior to the invasion of Poland, thirteen Stukas and their crews were lost in training at Neuhammer when fog caused them to misjudge a dive.

The Luftwaffe fielded 336 Stukas at the onset of World War II and lost only 31 in the Polish campaign. They launched the first strikes of World War II and claimed the first air-to-air kill when a Stuka pounced on a Polish P.11 fighter taking off. When Polish forces counterattacked at the River Bzura with some success, Stukas and Panzers reacted swiftly to crush the threat.

The Ju 87B was the primary early-war model, but there were also folding-wing Ju 87C torpedo/dive bombers for the never-completed carrier Graf Spee, and longer-range Ju 87Rs.

The Stuka’s precision made it a deadly anti-ship weapon. Stukas sank most of the Polish Navy, crippled two cruisers and destroyed several Allied destroyers and sloops and during the invasion of Norway, and harried vessels evacuating Allied troops at Dunkirk.

Over 400 Stukas served as ‘flying artillery’ in the Battle of France and the Low Countries, helping forward units beyond the reach of artillery support, such as German paratroopers and fast-moving Panzer divisions, by knocking out artillery concentration, heavy British and French tanks units, and fortifications like Belgium’s Ebe- Emael that could impede their advance.

Despite the Stukas’ tactical utility, they were also associated early on with terror attacks on civilians. In 1938, three pre-production Ju-87A models were ‘combat tested’ in Spain by attacking villages of no military value, killing 38 civilians. Over Poland, Stukas obliterated 70% of the buildings in the town of Wielun despite it being devoid of military targets. In France, Stukas notoriously strafed columns of refugees, driving them into the path of Allied columns.

However, dive bombers are extremely slow and vulnerable when pulling out of a dive. Stuka losses were initially tolerable because German fighters had achieved air superiority over their foes.  Even then, roughly 120 Stukas were lost over France and the Low Countries.

The Stuka’s limitations caught up with it during the ensuing Battle of Britain—the campaign to destroy the Royal Air Force in preparation for a German amphibious landing. Stuka units were tasked with knocking out British Chain Home early warning radars, and coastal convoys and airfields.

But the RAF’s modern Spitfire and Hurricane fighters were tough adversaries on their home turf, assisted by radar and the buffer of the English Channel.  In just three weeks in August, the Luftwaffe lost 51 Ju 87s—including 16 in one day. The Stuka had to be withdrawn from the fight.

Battle for the Eastern Front:

Still, the Ju 87 remained successful in theaters where aerial opposition was weak, such as the Balkans, Mediterranean and Russia in 1941-1942. Stukas ravaged Allied forces in Yugoslavia, sank numerous British warships off Crete, destroyed much of the Soviet air force on the ground in June 1941, and blunted counterattacks by heavier Russia tanks. Germany also exported Stukas to allies including Bulgaria, Italy and Romania.

By early 1942 the improved Ju-87D model phased in boasting a more powerful Jumo 211J engine boosting range, speed and bombload. It also featured a streamlined canopy and nose, a twin-barrel MG-81Z tail gun, and additional armor plates.

To stem the thousands of tanks pouring out of Soviet factories, in 1943 there followed the tank-busting Ju-87G model, armed with a long-barreled 37-millimeter automatic cannon pod under each wing with a magazine of six tungsten high-velocity shells. These could penetrate Allied tanks if they struck the vulnerable top or rear armor.

Pilot Hans-Ulrich Rudel claimed in his memoire Stuka Pilot to have destroyed 519 tanks, sunk the battleship Marat, and shot down 52 aircraft mostly while flying a Stuka. While Rudel’s claims are surely exaggerated given the tendency for tremendous over-claiming of air-to-ground kills during World War II, another statistic is equally telling: Rudel was shot down or crash landed 32 separate times.

The swan song of the Stuka came in July 1943 at the titanic tank battle at Kursk. Stuka Geschwaders 1, 2 and 3—half equipped with cannons—launched massive airstrikes on Soviet tank units alongside Fw-190 fighter bombers and Hs-129 anti-tank aircraft.

However, Soviet Il-2 Shturmovik bombers also claimed huge successes against German tanks at Kursk. Though superficially similar to the Ju 87, the Shturmovik was more heavily armored and had forward-facing cannons, ad even acquired a reputation for hunting Stukas.

Demise of the Dive Bomber:

Growing Allied air superiority made Stuka operations more and more perilous. Even American fighter pilots seeing their first action shot down dozens of Stukas over North Africa and Italy.

By 1944, the dive-bomber was largely replaced by far more survivable and hard-hitting ‘jabos’: robust, high-speed fighter bombers like the Fw-190F with maximum speeds exceeding 300 or 400 miles per hour.

While their high-speed, low-altitude attacks were not as precise a dive-bombing, late-war fighter bombers had punchier rockets and forward-firing cannons or .50-caliber machineguns to strike point targets and could carry heavier bombs to blast area targets. Most importantly, they weren’t sitting ducks when enemy fighters showed up.

By 1945, the Luftwaffe had only 100 operational Stukas out of around 6,000 built. These continued to harry Russian armies entering Germany, scoring occasional successes due lapses in Soviet air superiority. Only three intact Ju 87s survive today.

The Stuka played an important role in the Wehrmacht’s early campaigns, knocking out obstacles to the relentless advance of German Panzer divisions with precision strikes. But white-knuckle dive-bombing tactics proved a dead end when facing significant aerial opposition. Though the Stuka led a respectable second career as a cannon-armed tank buster, the infamous warplane was doomed to be replaced by more versatile and survivable fighter-bombers.

4 EXAMPLES OF EVIL ACTS DONE BY THE US GOVERNMENT TO THEIR OWN CITIZENS

Blind belief in authority is never good. History is filled with examples of how people in power conspired and lied to maintain their position. It is often fascinating to watch how many people put trust in their governments or governmental agencies and naively believe whatever comes out of them. As a reminder to always question things, today we will review some documented cases from the history of how the US government and its agencies committed crimes against their own population.

Ezoic Often people think that these are isolated cases. However, the more one researches the more examples can be found in every field possible. It is also worth mentioning that what is accessible to the public is what was uncovered. It is obvious that people in power who conspire or lie don’t want the public to find out so we only can learn about what already has been revealed. It can be concluded then, that this will be only a tiny minuscule of what has been happening but never saw the daylight.

1.SPYING ON ITS OWN PEOPLE

30373581 m normal noneEzoicThanks to the revelations of Edward Snowden the world could learn how The National Security Agency was spying on people. Snowden revealed that the US government was collecting vast amounts of data. NSA could get access to people’s phone records through phone companies like Verizon.

2. THE GOVERNMENT POISONED ALCOHOL TO “COMBAT ILLEGAL DRINKING”

alcohol government

In the 1920s the US government deliberately poisoned alcohol to enforce prohibition.

The practice was called “denaturing” alcohol, and it involved adding toxic chemicals such as methanol, formaldehyde, and kerosene to industrial alcohol, making it undrinkable. This resulted in the deaths of thousands of people.

3. COINTELPRO (COUNTER INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM)

In the 1950s and 1960s, The FBI conducted a series of covert and illegal actions aiming at the disruption and dismantling of different civil rights movements and anti-war groups. They used wiretapping, blackmail, and planting of false evidence, even implanting false information in the media.

4. TUSKEGEE STUDY

From 1932 to 1972, the US Public Health Service conducted a study on the effects of untreated syphilis on African-American men in Tuskegee, Alabama. The study was done without the consent of the participants. Hundreds of low-income black men were incentivized with free offerings, meals, burial stipends, health care, etc.

In 1947 penicillin became available to the public, it was used to treat syphilis however none of the participants of the study were offered it over the next 25 years of the study.

INSPIRED BY NIKOLA TESLA THIS STARTUP WANTS TO MAKE WIRELESS ELECTRICITY A REALITY IN NEW ZEALAND

What Nikola Tesla first explained a century back is now all set to be a reality. An energy startup from the land down under has figured how to make wireless electricity as reality.

EzoicEmrod, an energy startup from New Zealand, explained that all they would need is a clear line of sight to transfer the electricity wirelessly. Emrod’s founder Fred Kushnir said that New Zealand has an abundance of clean energy sources, be it solar, hydro, or wind energy. But they all come with a heavy price tag. The installation costs often skyrocket and at times it’s not even possible to bring certain infrastructures to remote physical locations. An example Kushnir gave was how the offshore wind farms near the Cook Strait require underwater cable, that are very costly to install and maintain.

Emrod plans to remove the need for copper wiring over long stretches of land. This would help them send wireless electricity to places, which have been previously too secluded and remote. Such remote places often rely on diesel generators for their electricity so Emrod’s technology will also help the environment by reducing such harmful technologies.

Kushnir told New Atlas that they are testing over a “tiny” long distance for now. They are sending only a few watts between 130 feet. The technology works with a straight and clear line of sight as the electricity travels as a beam from the source to the receiver.

HOW WILL WIRELESS ELECTRICITY BE TRANSMITTED?

Electromagnetic waves are sent via “Emrod’s beam shaping, metamaterials and rectenna technology”.

EzoicWith the rectenna technology, the magnetic waves are converted onto electricity. A square-shaped element set on a pole is where the electricity passes through to continue the beam-formation. As the wireless electricity beams through, a broad surface “catches” the wave. If you’re worried about passing birds getting electrocuted, worry no more. Emrod has put in place a low-power laser fence in order to keep nearby birds safe.

Talking about power outages, Emrod says it has the option of truck-mounted rectennas that can be driven out to put in place in case a relay leg is missing. Usually, wireless electricity is thought to be difficult to achieve with such technology due to the loss of signal fidelity as it transmits via the air and again via mediating technologies. Yet, Emrod’s relay system allows the beams to be refocused, where there is barely any loss of power.

Kushnir explained how the efficiency of all their components is good, coming to nearly 100%. Most of the power loss occurs on the transmitting side. But Emrod will use solid state for the transmitting side. This is similar to the electronic elements usually found in radar systems. This brings down the efficiency to 70%, but new technologies are being developed daily. So chances are we can soon get wireless electricity directly to our homes, without any loss from the source!

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT

The government of New Zealand as well as the electric utilities department as helping Emrod with this project. The prototype was built with some government aid. Callaghan Innovation, the “innovation agency” of the NZ government. Emrod’s site mentions:

“It has received a Royal Society Award nomination, and New Zealand’s second largest electricity distribution company, Powerco, will be the first to test Emrod technology.”
