Roman Reigns set to miss yet another major WWE Premium Live Event

Roman Reigns is reportedly set to miss another major WWE Premium Live Event

Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion

After missing several major WWE Premium Live Events in 2023, it seems like Roman Reigns won’t be avaliable for another of the company’s big shows next year.

Over the last 18 months, European wrestling fans have been delighted to see WWE begin to host their Premium Live Events outside of America. It began when the company headed to Wales to put on Clash at the Castle at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Since then, they’ve hosted their first pay-per-view in Montreal in over 14 years and headed to England for a major show for the first time since SummerSlam 1992.

Now, with Money in the Bank at the O2 and Elimination Chamber at the Bell Centre in Quebec behind us, WWE is looking forward to their next overseas ventures. Much like this year, we know that their February staple will be held outside of the United States in 2024, as the Chamber heads to Perth, Australia in three months, and another European Premium Live Event has already been confirmed for the summer.

Bash in Berlin takes place in August 2024

On October 25, WWE officially confirmed their plans for Bash In Berlin; the first ever major televised event to take place in Germany in company history. Per the announcement, the show is set to take place on the August 31 and will emanate from the Mercedes Benz Arena.

Interestingly, the German PLE will fall just six days after AEW’s second-ever trip to Wembley Stadium, as they are expected to continue the tradition they started this summer by holding All In over the bank holiday weekend in London next year.

It could be argued that the placement of the WWE event was set in order to lure European fans to their show, rather than forking out to go to Wembley again next August as both companies compete for the most amount of business in that market.

bash in berlin wwe 2024

So, if that were the case, viewers may expect WWE to load the Bash in Berlin card with their biggest hitters to have the best chance of tempting viewers who have the choice to opt to travel to the German capital instead of London. However, if the new promotional material for the show is anything to go by, there may be a surprising absence next August.

Roman Reigns is expected to miss Bash in Berlin

As some may have already noticed, Roman Reigns is currently not featured in any advertising material for Bash in Berlin, suggesting that he may not be planned to perform at the event. While this by no means rules him out of an appearance on the show, you’d imagine that higher-ups would want to put ‘The Tribal Chief’ front and centre on the posters if they knew that he would definitely be a part of the event.

Of course, the landscap in WWE could change dramatically in the nine months between now and the company’s trip to Berlin. At present, Reigns is undoubtedly the top attraction and is still in the midst of his 1,170+ day reign as the Undisputed Universal Champion, but particularly with WrestleMania 40 coming up, Roman may not be the titleholder as we head into the summer.

RELATED:Smart Reason Triple H Announced Randy Orton’s WWE Return Before Survivor SeriesAs for who did make the Bash in Berlin poster, those shown include Charlotte Flair, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, LA Knight and Jimmy Uso, so it may be safe to assume their participation in the show.

Also, fans who are local to the area will be desperate to see Austrian star and current Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER in Berlin, as WWE could frame him in Germany in the same way they did Drew McIntyre in Wales, despite it being neither man’s home country.

As always, as more comes out about the plans for Bash in Berlin, GiveMeSport will keep you informed.

Fan footage shows Seth Rollins’ furious reaction to CM Punk’s WWE return

Fan footage has emerged of Seth Rollins’ legitimately furious reaction to CM Punk’s WWE return

Fan footage has shown that Seth Rollins was legitimately furious following CM Punk’s shocking return to WWE last night at the huge Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event.

WWE has been dominating the trends and headlines today following the shocking return of the former AEW wrestler at last night’s show. The 45-year-old, known as ‘The Best in the World’ returned to close out the show to a thunderous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance at the Allstate Arena.

However, reports are now circulating that many top names within the WWE are not happy about Punk returning to the company, with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion being one of them. While the cameras kept focus on Punk during his return, new fan footage has emerged showing Rollins’ reaction to the comeback, and it looks like he was far from happy.

Seth Rollins was furious with CM Punk’s WWE return

Reports are currently circulating that Punk’s WWE return was kept a secret from everyone, including the wrestlers in the main event, who only found out just before their match and new fan footage has now emerged showing Rollins’ uncensored reaction to the former AEW star’s appearance.

In the fan-captured footage, which you can see below, Rollins can be seen shouting obscenities to Punk from the ringside area as the former WWE Champion was interacting with the audience in attendance. Punk had to be restrained by Corey Graves and Michael Cole, as well as a number of officials, and Sami Zayn was seen trying to calm his ally down.

Seth Rollins has gone on the record in the past to share his legitimate hatred of Punk, even going as far as to call his colleague a ‘cancer’, so it seems like his reaction was totally legitimate, rather than being part of a storyline.

To add fuel to that fire, Fightful reported that Rollins tried to find Punk backstage, where he was calmed down by Cole once again, as well as WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H.

Seth Rollins has been dropping Punk-related hints on television for months now, ever since it was announced that he’d been fired from AEW following a string of backstage altercations. Seth had even referred to himself as ‘The Best in the World’, which is of course, a nickname synonymous with Punk.

Seth isn’t the only member of the WWE roster seemingly unhappy with the fact Punk is back, as Drew McIntyre ‘stormed out’ of the building last night following the end of Survivor Series and was said to be ‘furious’ with how things played out.

Top WWE star had to be sent away by Triple H backstage following CM Punk’s return; situation was awkward

CM Punk is back and a few WWE stars might not be happy

The plot thickens following CM Punk’s epic return to WWE at the end of Survivor Series: WarGames. As per fan footage, Seth Rollins was visibly unhappy at what transpired and had to be held back by Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

The Visionary was part of the men’s WarGames match that main evented Survivor Series, as he teamed with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton to defeat The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre. While all members of the winning team were there, Rollins looked the most animated when Punk came out.

A report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp indicates that things didn’t exactly cool down backstage. Seth Rollins remained upset about the situation and allegedly had to be ushered away by WWE CCO Triple H and Cole, with CM Punk looking confused. It was said to be an “awkward scene.”

“Backstage in Gorilla position, we’re told that Seth Rollins had to be ushered away by Triple H and Michael Cole, as he was not happy about Punk’s appearance. Punk was said to have looked confused by it,” reported Sapp.

Drew McIntyre was also not happy following the Survivor Series main event, as he stormed out of the ring after the match and reportedly left the building angry. It remains to be seen what the actual fallout of CM Punk’s WWE return is regarding talent in the locker room.

What Seth Rollins shouted at CM Punk when he returned to WWE at Survivor Series

Footage shows exactly what Seth Rollins was shouting when CM Punk made his WWE return

As CM Punk returned to an almighty reception from fans at WWE’s Survivor Series, it was Seth Rollins who took the most displeasure with the return as he threatened to knock the returning star out.

Seth Rollins hasn’t made it a secret in the past few years that he isn’t a fan of CM Punk, and this past Saturday’s Survivor Series was evidence of that. With several angles of his major breakdown coming to light, one angle has shown truly just what Seth Rollins was yelling.

As the current World Heavyweight Champion was being pulled back by Michael Cole and Corey Graves, he could be seen yelling that CM Punk had better get out by the time he returns to the back, or he will “knock him … out.”

A rant filled with expletives, it was clear that Seth Rollins wasn’t pleased to see CM Punk return. This could be for personal reasons, possibly due to a genuine dislike of Punk or for professional reasons, maybe a fear of losing his spot on the card, however, there is no denying the huge animosity that exists between the pair.

The beef between Seth Rollins & CM Punk

CM Punk and Seth Rollins have had a storied past. It was CM Punk who gave Seth Rollins his break on the main roster, hand-picking him to be part of a trio who would serve as Punk’s bodyguards of sorts.

That trio would go on to become The Shield. The pair had tagged together in NXT, when Seth Rollins was NXT Champion and CM Punk was WWE Champion.

Seth Rollins, despite this past relationship, has clearly soured on Punk, with numerous interviews coming out since those days where he has let his true feelings be known.

Triple H’s five-word tweet about CM Punk’s shock return to WWE at Survivor Series goes viral

Talking at a press circuit for the Royal Rumble in January of this year, he was quoted as telling Punk to “stay away” from the WWE, and that he is a “cancer.”

Punk, meanwhile, has been quoted as saying Rollins doesn’t have a “strong philosophy” of the business, something Rollins may have held a grudge against.

Furthermore, just weeks after his “cancer” comments, Rollins labelled Punk “selfish.”

Clearly a tumultuous relationship, something Seth Rollins acknowledged in an interview with FOX Sports when he said it pains him to say bad things about Punk, as he did so much for his career. Rollins wished Punk would give back more, as Punk was all take.

Video: Seth Rollins’ furious tirade towards CM Punk

A hatred that seemingly stems from a professional standpoint, it seems Rollins doesn’t think CM Punk is a team player, something the ‘Best in the World’ has a chance to rectify in his second run with the company.

If there is one thing to be known about Seth Rollins, though, it is that he is a team player. He has put personal grudges aside, most notably with Matt Riddle and Logan Paul, in order to make good content for the fans.

It is yet to be known if this big on-screen breakdown was planting the seeds for an eventual CM Punk feud, or if this was a genuine reaction, but what is known is that if, and when, the time comes for this feud, Rollins will put his grudge aside and make great, captivating content.

Randy Orton’s physique at WWE Survivor Series was genuinely insane

Randy Orton’s physique at Survivor Series after 554 days away from WWE was genuinely insane

After 554 days away from the ring, Randy Orton made his long awaited return at WWE Survivor Series as a part of the five-on-five WarGames match, and The Viper has never looked so good!

Randy Orton’s return was hanging in the balance by the time the main event of this year’s Survivor Series rolled around, but as Rhea Ripley tried to cash in Damian Priest’s Money in the Bank briefcase, Orton’s legendary music hit and The Viper finally had come back to the WWE.

It seemed this day might never come, but as is the legendary status of Randy Orton, he was able to return on the same show as CM Punk and not be overshadowed, and that speaks volumes to how beloved and respected Orton is by both wrestlers and fans alike.

Randy Orton’s absence from WWE

It was back in May of 2022 when Orton was last seen on WWE television, losing to The Usos and dropping the Tag Team Championships in the process.

He was written off TV in an angle that saw Roman Reigns and his cousins beat him with steel steps and choke him out, but fans weren’t quite ready for just how long it would take until they could see him again.

It was revealed that Orton would be getting back fusion surgery, and after having surgery, there were reports that people in WWE felt we had seen the last of Randy Orton, with the severity of the injury being so grand, WWE employees felt he’d be very fortunate to be able to wrestle again.

Kurt Angle recently revealed on his podcast that these thoughts were echoed by Randy Orton, who was worried if his back would ever heal.

With the duo’s wives being best friends, Kurt Angle and Orton are de facto friends, if not also friends from all their years of wrestling, and Angle mentioned how Orton told him it wasn’t “looking good” regarding healing up.

However, the doubts over a return were squashed earlier this year when it was reported that Randy Orton had been spotted at WWE’s Performance Center, training for a return.

Reports that turned out to be true, as Cody Rhodes announced Orton’s return to WWE on Raw, with The Viper showing off his new, somehow improved, jacked physique at Survivor Series this past Saturday.

Images: Randy Orton’s physique on his WWE return

Clearly unfazed by his back fusion surgery, Orton was in full-swing. Doing multiple mid-rope DDTs, and RKOs, the best one being on JD McDonagh, who was launched off the top of the cage into the arms of Orton, who connected an RKO as good as he ever has.

It was clear to see that Randy Orton hadn’t just been recovering from his back surgery, but had clearly been putting work in the gym, as the reaction from the internet was one of amazement at the size of The Viper.

Orton has never been in bad shape once in his career, but it was noticeable how much size he had put on, sporting a newer, more jacked version of his previous physique.

Orton gestured to the Chicago crowd at Survivor Series that he would be doing this for “10 more years,” and it is safe to say, with a physique like that at the age of 43, there is no reason why he can’t go even longer than that.

Randy Orton shows off impressive body transformation and muscle gain as he returns to WWE for the first time in 18 months following injury… and signals he intends to wrestle for another decade!

Randy Orton shows off his impressive body transformation during his WWE return on Saturday night.

The 14-time world champion made his long-awaited comeback during the company’s Survivor Series premium live event, joining forces with Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins and Jey Uso to defeat The Judgement Day and Drew McIntyre in War Games.

It was the first time ‘The Viper’ had been in a wrestling ring for 18 months after undergoing back surgery for a long-running issue he had been dealing with.

His return was teased for a long time, with other members of his team suggesting in storyline that Orton hadn’t turned up for the match, but he eventually made his way to the ring as the last person to enter the steel cage.

Fans were stunned to see the 43-year-old in arguably the best shape of his life, before Orton himself appeared to signal that he would be wrestling for another 10 years before exiting the arena.

Orton has always been in good shape in his career, but appeared better than ever in his return

The 43-year-old appeared to signal that he intends to wrestle for another 10 years before he left the arena

Orton will almost certainly be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future, having been a part of the company for over two decades.

There were fears he would have to retire when he was injured, with a return date unclear and worries he would not be able to hit his usual standards inside the ring should he return.

But he looked like he had never been away when he returned on Saturday, playing a key role – which included performing an RKO, his finishing move, to JD McDonagh as he fell from the top of the cage – as his star-studded side overcame their villainous opponents.

‘Made his return to a huge pop, stayed after Survivor Series to greet fans, signalled that he has 10 years left, came back jacked. It’s great to have Randy Orton back in WWE,’ said one wrestling fan page on social media.

‘Randy Orton looks like the size of two Randy Ortons now,’ said another.

‘Randy Orton loves this sport, glad to see The Viper back and JACKED!’ added a third.

Orton’s involvement in the match included performing his signature RKO move as JD McDonagh fell from the top of the cage

Orton will be on Monday Night RAW following his return, alongside CM Punk, who also made his comeback at the event

Orton now looks set for another full time run in WWE after his return from injury, and WWE have already announced he will be appearing on Monday Night RAW as the fallout of Survivor Series gets underway on-screen.

It’s unclear what his first storyline could be, though many have speculated that he will feud with Jey Uso after he was involved in his injury storyline well over a year ago.

CM Punk will also be on RAW after his sensational return at the end of Survivor Series following his sacking from AEW earlier on this year.

Orton appeared to wave to Punk from the ring as the former UFC star made his way out into the arena following the War Games match on Saturday.

Randy Orton gave fans major hint on his future after WWE return

Randy Orton provided fans at Survivor Series with a major hint on his future after his return to WWE

Following his WWE return, Randy Orton seems to be gearing up for another decade in the ring after providing fans with an update on his future following the culmination of Survivor Series.

Heading out of Survivor Series, seemingly all that fans wanted to talk about was the shocking WWE return of CM Punk, as fans were genuinely surprised by the secrecy of the ex-AEW star’s first appearance for the company since his infamous exit almost a decade ago.

However, while Punk’s re-emergence was insane, it has made some fans forget about another awesome return on the show.

Going into last week’s Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had the numbers disadvantage, needing one more member to even up the odds for the men’s War Games match.

Despite not officially saying his name, the crowd all cottoned on the fact that Cody had put in the call to bring Randy Orton back to WWE for the first time in over 18 months.

Randy Orton returned to WWE at Survivor Series

Many found it odd that Rhodes didn’t name-drop ‘The Viper’ during the reveal of his inclusion in the Survivor Series main event, and suspicions were raised about whether he truly would make a comeback from injury when the members of the babyface team shown on screen last Saturday being confused as to why Orton hadn’t shown up to the arena yet.

This was made worse when the countdown for the final entrant into the match reached zero and Randy was nowhere to be seen, inviting Judgment Day to think they’d have a five-on-four advantage.

Yet, after fans had almost given up hope of seeing the 43-year-old return in War Games, ‘Voices’ blasted over the speakers and Randy was seen in WWE for the first time since May of last year.

He stopped Rhea Ripley’s plan to help Damian Priest cash-in Money in the Bank and entered the cage on an absolute tear, first going after Dominik Mysterio.

Those in the AllState Arena came unglued as Orton played the hits, including hitting many draping DDTs and two RKOs, most notably hitting his iconic finisher on JD McDonagh as he fell from the top of the War Games structure.

Randy Orton says he’ll stay with WWE for another ten years

There was a lot of relief that Orton had been cleared for a return and his physique when he arrived blew many fans away. After fears that he may never wrestle again, Randy looked to be in incredible shape, appearing very happy to finally be back in the squared circle hitting his signature moves.

Per a photo shared online, it would appear as if ‘The Viper’ doesn’t plan on calling it a day anytime soon, as he was seen indicating to the fans in attendance at Survivor Series that he has his sights set on a decade more with WWE.

The picture shows Randy showing all ten fingers to the fans after the event had gone off-air, with a further video, which you can see below, showing him shouting ‘10 more years, 10 more years!’ before fist pumping at the audience and turning to leave.

This is likely to excite all WWE fans, as it doesn’t seem as if Randy’s comeback match was a one-and-done thing, which many were worried about going in.

It’s easy to remember the reports that have come out emphasising the extent of the back injury that Orton has just battled back from, with some saying that doctors had advised against a return to the ring to preserve his health.

Still though, if the multi-time WWE Champion is happy enough to indicate to the live crowd that he wants to stay in WWE until at least 2033, he must be somewhat confident of being able to compete at the top level for that amount of time after missing out of 18 months of action, and we look forward to seeing what he does next.

As always, as more comes out about Randy Orton’s Survivor Series return and his WWE future, GiveMeSport will keep you informed.

10 potential matches for CM Punk now he’s returned to WWE

Listed 10 potential matches for CM Punk now that he’s made his shocking return to WWE

With Survivor Series in Chicago taking place on Saturday evening, CM Punk made his first appearance on a WWE show since January 2014, returning at the end of the show. What once seemed impossible had now happened, and while there were conflicting reports on the matter, we now know that Punk has signed with WWE for several years.

For years, WWE fans have been hoping to see CM Punk back, and with the roster so different from the last time the ex-AEW star was a member of the company, fans can’t wait to see the first-time match-ups that the 45-year-old has now that he’s back working for the company.

So, with 2023 coming to an end and 2024 right around the corner, GIVEMESPORT looks at ten people CM Punk could end up sharing the ring now that he’s made his return to WWE.

10.Kevin Owens

We begin with Kevin Owens, someone who has recently been traded from Raw to SmackDown and is currently in need of a new direction. All year, the former Universal Champion had been embroiled in a seemingly endless feud with Judgment Day over the Undisputed WWE Tag Titles, however, the brand switch has brought his popular tag team with Sami Zayn to a temporary close.

In the weeks following, the Canadian has given interviews talking about who on the SmackDown roster he’d like to face, but there has been nothing apart from a backstage comedy segment with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to this point. So, if WWE really wants to have Punk take on an available star around ‘Mania season, a clash between them would certainly be a worthwhile use of both of them.

Let’s not forget, around two months ago, it was revealed by Fightful that Punk had actually pitched a return to WWE around the time of this year’s Royal Rumble, while he was still serving a suspension for his physical altercation with The Elite at All Out.

Here, we learned that the Chicagoan was actually very interested in beginning a feud with Owens which would culminate in a match at WrestleMania 39. The idea is certainly something that Triple H could choose to come back to.

9.Drew McIntyre

On the November 13 episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre completed his highly-anticipated heel turn when he joined forced with Judgement Day and cost Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes in their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match.

The Scotsman has explained on TV since his return at SummerSlam 2023 how he’s frustrated with how he won his first-ever WWE Championship, as he feels hard done by the fact that his entire run was in front of no fans. It’s no secret that Drew carried the company on his back during one of the hardest periods in its history, but his shift is yet to be rewarded with a title reign with audiences in attendance.

This has led to McIntyre having his eyes set on any top championship he can get an opportunity at. His last attempted came at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, where he beaten by the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, as many were left feeling as if growing frustration would lead to a heel turn for the 38-year-old down the line.

So, could you imagine CM Punk costing McIntyre his next shot at gold? The 2020 Royal Rumble Winner could take exception to Punk walking back into the fold at the top of the card despite all he did through the pandemic and look to take the ‘Straight Edge Saviour’ out in a heated feud.

8.Stone Cold Steve Austin

It’s the dream match that actually nearly happened. Both Punk and Austin are characters that are firmly anti-establishment and are viewed as antiheroes by the fans who have loved seeing them both stick it to the man in more ways than one.

Of course, Austin’s rivalry with Mr. McMahon is the clearest example of challenging authority that wrestling has ever seen, where Punk’s undermining of power blurred the lines of kayfabe much more. The Chicago native’s dislike for WWE’s internal processes often seeped into their on-screen product.

What a match between two men who refuse to go down without a fight would look like is unknown, but, as mentioned, this is a clash that almost came to be. The company themselves teased the possibility of Austin vs Punk numerous times over the years, having them appear in the same backstage in 2011 when it became abundantly clear just how much chemistry there was between the two.

When Punk was last in WWE, a match was Stone Cold was considered completely impossible due to the latter’s injury-forced retirement in 2003.

However, WrestleMania 39 showed us that Steve Austin had at least one more match left in him as he battled Owens to close night one in front of his hometown crowd.

With the ‘Voice of The Voiceless’ potentially coming back into the fray, maybe ‘The Rattlesnake’ could be tempted out of retirement one more time to deliver this fantasy match-up.

7.Seth Rollins

It would be fair to say that Seth Rollins is the face of Monday Night Raw. The current World Heavyweight Champion has held the red brand’s top title since May 27 and has quickly established his gold as the workhorse championship. He is always keen to give opportunities to the younger talent and his developed into a locker room leader.

While Seth Rollins and CM Punk have faced off in the past, they are both drastically different from when ‘The Visionary’ was a member of The Shield, taking Punk on in late-2013. They’ve had many one-on-one matches on Raw previously but never on a big stage.

Plus, as their clashes were around a decade ago, the Chicago-native was nearing the end of his WWE run and nowhere near the peak of his powers through injury and being generally unhappy with the company.

Whether the title is on the line or Seth comes into it as a defeated champion who’s lost his belt, a match between he and Punk would always feel big. Rollins, who stepped up in the years following the 45-year-old’s departure, could take umbrage with the fact that his opponent came back to the place he spent a decade slandering, with Punk using the Seth feud to prove that he still belongs in WWE.

The feud is something that Triple H is apparently working on too, with plans for Seth to share the ring with Punk at the Royal Rumble next year being leaked online just hours after his shocking return to WWE.

6.John Cena

Throughout his first WWE run, Punk made it clear to anyone who would listen that he didn’t like how the company put John Cena on a pedestal.

He even made mention of this during his infamous pipebomb promo, when he said that, while he didn’t necessarily dislike John himself, he hated the idea that Vince McMahon and those running the company believed that Cena was the best they had.

Punk’s contempt for how WWE was run built up until he left the company and industry as a whole in 2014, while Cena remained a top star both in the ring and in Hollywood.

The 16-time world champion has recently been enjoying his most recent stint in the squared circle, last appearing at Crown Jewel in a losing effort against Solo Sikoa, however, post-match Cena appeared to tease retirement. So, before that day comes, why not put on one more match against ‘The Best in The World’ at WrestleMania?

The difference this time would be that the sentiment towards WWE has changed over the last 18 months, as fans are now much more happy with the on-screen product than they were 10 years ago.

So, perhaps Punk’s stance against those who run the show would come across far more bitter than in the past, with Cena playing up the ultimate ‘company man’ babyface character to get the win.

5.Cody Rhodes

When CM Punk first came into AEW in 2021, fans were salivating over the potential match-ups he could have there. The former WWE Champion began his time in AEW by taking on some of their young up-and-comers like Daniel Garcia and Powerhouse Hobbs, but what fans will really remember is his pay-per-view classics with the likes of Eddie Kingston and MJF.

However, one match we didn’t get was Cody Rhodes. Admittedly, with Punk coming in during the summer of 2021 and Rhodes opting to leave the company in January of the next year, there was never a lot of time to tick off the match.

But, the two-time AEW World Champion returning to WWE would arguably be the biggest statement that the company have made since poaching Cody from Tony Khan almost two years ago, so a clash between the two under Triple H’s creative guide could be magical.

One pushback on the idea of this match could potentially be deciding which of the two men would play the face and heel roles, as Cody is undoubtedly one of the top good guys that WWE have and fans will be reluctant to boo Punk so close to his return.

So, should they line up to face one another, it would be fair to let the audience individually choose who they want to support and creative a raucous atmosphere to back up what would be an awesome match.

4.Jey Uso

When Punk was last in the WWE, very few would’ve predicted the rise of Jey Uso. At the time, the pair of Uso brothers had been in the company for a couple of years and were only just starting to find their feet.

In the years that followed, the team would go on to win eight sets of tag titles in the company and firmly put themselves in the conversation for the best tag team that WWE have ever had.

The feud could be based around the possibility that Punk hasn’t been tuned into the product while he’s been away, only returning to keep his own spark alive after his AEW exit.

This causes him to drastically underestimate any sort of challenge that he receives from Jey, who in his mind is still one-half of The Usos and not someone to take seriously in a one-on-one environment.

What better way is there to establish ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso as the real deal than having CM Punk put him over clean on the grandest stage. It can be competitive, but it would be absolutely huge for the tag team specialist to earn a decisive victory against some as notable as the two-time WWE Champion, and it would be the perfect use of Punk now that he is a veteran of the business.

3.AJ Styles

AJ Styles is someone who many fans thought they’d never see in WWE until his mind-blowing debut in 2016. He tattooed his name on the side of his body to stop any possible name changes, and, due to Vince McMahon’s desire to alter almost everything about outside stars, many assumed former WWE Champion would simply never sign with the wrestling giant.

So, should it be an option, WWE fans could get to watch a man they never thought they’d see come in take on a legend they never thought they’d see again.

They’re both synonymous with certain eras of wrestling, too. Punk’s work in Ring of Honor through the mid-2000s is what first alerted WWE to his talent, and you can’t think of TNA without AJ Styles coming to mind.

The Phenomenal One worked for Total Nonstop Action for 12 years between 2002 and 2014 and both men have travelled down similar roads in terms of work outside of the top company in America.

Plus, the recent reports on a potential WWE return for Punk specify that Triple H would look to see who on his roster was available at the time.

Styles is someone who has only made sporadic appearances on SmackDown as of late, and, despite teasing the possibility of challenging Roman Reigns, AJ hasn’t been a regular fixture on weekly TV for a while and a match with CM Punk could be exactly what he’s looking for.

2.Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is perhaps the top prodigy that WWE has signed to a developmental contract. He was the guy that they put the most focus on upon the introduction of NXT 2.0 and has had two reigns with the brand’s top title. Now, while firmly a heel, the 26-year-old star is running through any man that Shawn Michaels puts in front of him.

It’s gotten to the point at which most viewers are waiting for Bron to appear on either Raw or SmackDown. The majority agree that Breakker is main roster ready, but, to capitalise on his villainous character in the best way, a lot of people are already fantasy booking a dominant unbeaten run for him in the future.

When it comes to CM Punk, one of the most memorable lines from his infamous post-show media scrum in 2022 was when he said that he was old, tired and worked with children.

To play off of that, Triple H could Breakker represent the next generation of WWE superstars by taking down a 45-year-old CM Punk. If you really wanted Bron to make a statement, he could squash the Chicagoan in a very one-sided affair at the 40th annual WrestleMania.

1.Roman Reigns

It’s almost inarguable that the biggest match WWE could put on with CM Punk back on their roster would be a showdown between the Voice of The Voiceless and The Tribal Chief.

Both men have worked Paul Heyman in order to secure record-breaking title reigns, with Punk initially setting the record for the modern era 434 days, and Reigns surpassing this with his Universal Championship run that has lasted for over three years and is still going today.

It’s insane to think about how, at the time that Roman Reigns title run began, Punk was still a year away his AEW debut and now we’re linking him to a WWE return and a match with their top star at WrestleMania.

As discussed in Seth Rollins’ entry, Punk and Roman will have clashed before when the 45-year-old was feuding with The Shield, but so much has changed since then and The Head of The Table is seemingly unbeatable nowadays.

Many are expecting Reigns’ challenger at WrestleMania 40 to be Cody Rhodes, a repeat of this year’s main event in which The American Nightmare gets the win.

Though, Roman has proved that absolutely anything can happen in his reign, so could you imagine how insane it would be to have CM Punk be the one to step up and challenge for WWE’s top prize once again in just six months time.

Randy Orton to bring back female WWE star to go after Rhea Ripley? Exploring the possibility

Randy Orton made his return at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Survivor Series: WarGames marked the return of Randy Orton for the first time since 2022. At the premium live event, Orton fought The Judgment Day and led Team Rhodes to an important victory. Naturally, this could begin a rivalry between The Viper and the heel faction on Monday Night RAW.

While Randy Orton can deal with the male members of The Judgment Day on his own, many wonder if he will bring about the return of a female superstar to deal with Rhea Ripley. The female superstar in question is Liv Morgan, who had been sidelined due to an injury.

Given the history between Ripley and Morgan, Orton could certainly use the help of the latter to counter the Women’s World Champion. However, taking into account The Viper’s past, it seems unlikely he will approach her. If anything, the fans could probably witness Orton RKO Rhea Ripley on his own.

As for Morgan, she can return to confront Rhea Ripley on her own. This feud will most likely be separate from The Judgment Day drama. Hence, the probability of Orton being involved diminishes a bit more. In the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see what The Apex Predator does on the red brand.

Former WWE Tag Team remembers a botched spot involving Randy Orton

In 2017, Randy Orton defended his WWE Championship against Jinder Mahal at Backlash. During this match, The Bollywood Boyz made an appearance and tried to interfere and help Mahal win. However, this attempt had terrible results for the duo.

The involvement of The Bollywood Boyz in this match led to Randy Orton dropping one of them on their head on the announcer’s table. After Orton made his WWE comeback at Survivor Series: WarGames, the popular tag team recalled this moment and shared the story on X. The tweet stated:

“.@RandyOrton appreciation post. Backstory to this picture: Moments after our ‘Table Spot’ at Backlash 2017, we returned to our phones with our father messaging/calling to see if we were okay. So this picture was sent to our father, so he knew everything was cool.”

You can check out the tweet below:

Like The Bollywood Boyz, several WWE Superstars have had positive things to say about Randy Orton. Now that he has returned to WWE on a full-time basis, it will be interesting to see him deliver more memorable moments. The coming weeks on WWE RAW will be exciting for Orton and his fans.
