Carmella shares a personal update amid WWE absence

Carmella is currently on a hiatus from WWE

WWE Superstar Carmella recently sent out a personal update after giving birth.

Following her loss in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match this year, it was announced that Mella would be on maternity leave. On November 8, Mella and her husband, Corey Graves, welcomed their baby boy, Dimitri Paul Polinsky.

Taking to social media, Mella penned a sweet note for her child, hinting how much she loves being a mother after welcoming Dimitri into her life.

“thinking about how much I love being dimitri’s mum [emojis],” wrote Mella.

Check out a screengrab of Carmella’s Instagram story below:

Carmella updated her fans regarding her condition amid her postpartum stage

Taking to social media, Mella mentioned that although she has been resting since returning from the hospital, going on a walk felt necessary.

Mella also spoke about how she keeps her mental health in check by wearing her favorite pajamas daily.

“I’ve been so good about resting since coming home from the hospital. my bed and my couch have permanent outlines of my body on them (as they should!) rest is so important post partum. but yesterday it was really nice to get ready and go out for a walk.

i didn’t realize how much i needed that. i couldn’t go too far and needed the stroller for stability since my foot is still numb, but it was just enough to make me feel like a human again.

another thing ive been doing for my mental health is just wearing cute pajamas/sets around the house to lounge in. i stocked up on them before dimitri got here and it’s a little treat for me when i put them on. sometimes the little things are the big things. 🥰🤍”

It would be exciting to see when Carmella would return to the ring in the near future.

Multi-time WWE Champion set to return next week after over a year injured

A multi-time WWE Champion is set to return next week at Survivor Series after over a year out injured

Randy Orton’s return to WWE is just days away, as the multi-time World Champion is set to take part in the Survivor Series WarGames match next weekend.

WWE recently announced that the legendary WarGames match will be making its highly anticipated return at the Survivor Series 2023 Premium Live Event in a massive way. Judgment Day’s Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh will team with Drew McIntyre to take on a team led by Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes’ team features Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, and according to Fightful, Orton is set to be announced as the final member of the team in what will be his first match since May 2022.

Randy Orton will return to WWE TV next week

Orton has been on the shelf for over a year with a ‘severe’ back injury that required fusion surgery to fix. The injury put his entire career in jeopardy, with people within WWE fearing last year that Randy may actually never be able to return.

However, Orton has been back at the Performance Center working on a comeback, with Triple H and co being ‘extra cautious’ over his comeback, but the time has come for the multi-time WWE Champion to step back into the ring.

Fightful explains that WWE will be announcing Orton’s return before Survivor Series, mainly as a precautionary measure to avoid fans turning on the legend if he’s revealed as the ‘mystery fifth man’ instead of CM Punk.

Randy Orton isn’t winning a World Champion when he returns to WWE

News of Orton’s impending return to television has been circulating for quite some time, even before he was seen training at the Performance Center. Many felt that a reunion between Randy and Matt Riddle was the way to go, but with the former UFC star being released by WWE in September, that now won’t be happening.

It was previously reported that Triple H looked to have his former Evolution running buddy return to television and immediately claim a major championship, although Fightful recently shot down these rumors, stating that the creative team at present hasn’t discussed giving Orton a run with a major title just yet, but that is not to say they won’t wrestle with the idea somewhere down the line when Orton has re-established himself in storylines.

Orton’s last WWE title reign lasted only 22 days back in 2020, but it made him a 14-time World Champion, a record that he also shares with Triple H himself.

WWE is expected to announce the fifth member of Cody Rhodes’ WarGames team at Survivor Series – and Randy Orton’s return – potentially as soon as the November 20 episode of Raw.

GIVEMESPORT will keep you up to date if plans are set to change before the massive Premium Live Event, which is scheduled to air on November 25, at the legendary Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, which also just so happens to be a stone’s throw away from CM Punk’s stomping grounds.

Cody Rhodes appears to have replaced former WWE Champion at Survivor Series: WarGames, original plans revealed

The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes

The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes presumably leads his team at Survivor Series: WarGames this Saturday night, albeit World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would beg to differ. However, was The American Nightmare, not the original star slotted for the upcoming contest?

Members of the RAW roster are uniting to take down The Judgment Day once and for all inside WarGames. While he was featured on the blue brand Friday nights meddling in The Bloodline business, it seems John Cena was penciled in for Survivor Series.

Per BWE (private account on Twitter/X), John Cena was in talks of joining the team of Rollins, Zayn, and Jey Uso. But with Rhodes’ involvement, WWE has faith in the current lineup. This is also because the company managed to sell tickets well despite Cena’s absence:

“Cena was discussed to be part of WarGames pre Crown Jewel. All that changed. Cody takes lead they have full faith in the selected group. Specially after selling out Chitown,” BWE posted on Twitter/X, via RSN.

Tonight’s go-home edition of RAW is highly anticipated as the word on the rumor mill is that one more member could be added to each team. Cody Rhodes even teased this on social media a few days ago.

Dutch Mantell feels it’s a do-or-die situation for Cody Rhodes heading into WrestleMania 40

Last year’s Survivor Series: WarGames, the main event, had major ramifications for the Road to WrestleMania 39. WWE may be looking to follow a familiar trope this time around, as the hype going into this weekend’s premium live event is insane.

Speaking on Sportskeeda’s Smack Talk, veteran Dutch Mantell claimed that at WrestleMania 40, The American Nightmare has to dethrone Roman Reigns:

“We’re working to WrestleMania 40 with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. I would think that if they’re ever going to do anything with Cody, he has to capitalize then. The first one – (WrestleMania) 39 – we could work with that. But 40, I think it’s Cody’s time; he has to take it. And we’ll see what he can do there,” said Dutch Mantell.

You can watch the entire interview below:

Despite heavy rumors of Randy Orton’s return over the last few weeks, fans online are a tad cynical as we inch closer to the go-home edition of RAW. They feel that those convinced that The Viper will be back on WWE TV are going to be disappointed.

WWE Survivor Series ending in major betrayal leading to Cody Rhodes’ final feud before facing Roman Reigns is a possible scenario, believes veteran

Cody Rhodes (left) and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns (right)

WWE Hall of Famer believes Randy Orton could betray Cody Rhodes at Survivor Series.

The veteran in question is Bully Ray. Since his return to the Stamford-based company last year, The American Nightmare has set his eyes on Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. However, he failed to dethrone The Tribal Chief last April at WrestleMania 39. Nevertheless, many believe he will have another shot at Regins’ title at WrestleMania 40.

Meanwhile, Rhodes has been feuding with The Judgment Day on Monday Night RAW. He will join forces with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Randy Orton to face The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre in a WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Speaking on the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray suggested Orton could RKO Rhodes after winning the WarGames match to start a final feud between the two ahead of The American Nightmare’s rumored match against Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

“Imagine the babyfaces go over in the WarGames. And as they are getting their hands raised, RKO out of nowhere from Randy to Cody to set up the last hurdle in the hardtime story before Cody gets to Roman. Randy wants a shot. Randy is a four-time champion would definitely want a shot at Roman Reigns because of what The Bloodline did to him,” he said.

The Hall of Famer added:

“And Randy’s whole thing is gonna be, ‘You knew I was a Viper when you called me. I can’t be trusted. You guys all know that. I want that championship in that main event spot at WrestleMania just as much as you do Cody.’ So, I think there’s a story there, a very good final story, not like something just thrown in for Cody to do. But a very good final story and final hurdle before we get to Cody versus Roman.” [From 10:45 to 11:55]

“Him and I absolutely don’t love each other” – Cody Rhodes addresses relationship with top WWE Superstar.

Will Cody Rhodes dethrone Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40?

While Cody Rhodes is rumored to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, other top names were also reported as possible opponents for the leader of The Bloodline at the Show of Shows, including The Rock.

Speaking on his Lex Expressed podcast, WWE legend Lex Lugar revealed that he would like to see The American Nightmare go head-to-head again against The Tribal Chief.

“I hope so. I’m not sure when it’ll happen, but I’d love to see it. I am a huge Cody Rhodes fan. He has a sense of the history of the business from his upbringing as a multi-generational wrestler. He respects it and the way that he carries himself. He’s just got the modern-day term for the new generation. He’s got the rizz. He’s got it. He’s got the confidence and the charisma,” he said.

Roman Reigns’ historic title run will not end at the hands of Cody Rhodes for one sole reason, believes WWE veteran

“I made (Cody Rhodes) quit WWE,” says former United States Champion in now-deleted tweet

Cody Rhodes left WWE in 2016, before returning in 2022.

Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE in 2022 has already proven to be a massive success. The American Nightmare is arguably the company’s top babyface and has been heavily protected since his epic comeback at WrestleMania 38, only being pinned once.

That, too, ended with interference, as Solo Sikoa stopped Rhodes from dethroning Roman Reigns at this year’s Show of Shows. Cody’s last clean pinfall loss in WWE came when he was Stardust, putting over Zack Ryder (aka Matt Cardona) on an episode of Superstars in May 2016.

This was Cody Rhodes’ final match before asking for his release five days later. Cardona jokingly claimed that he made the second-generation star quit the company before deleting the tweet.

The former United States Champion quote-tweeted a stat mentioning the last four WWE Superstars to pin The American Nightmare:

Matt Cardona’s deleted tweet

Matt Cardona and Cody Rhodes are close friends in real life, which might be why he decided to delete the tweet in case it was taken the wrong way. The former WWE star has posted something else about beating Stardust in May 2016.

Cody Rhodes is set to lead his squad into war at WWE Survivor Series

The final premium live event of 2023 is a few days away, with Survivor Series promising to be a memorable night. The main event pits The Judgment Day against Cody Rhodes and four of his friends in WarGames.

The American Nightmare will team with Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and an unnamed fifth member. Many expect it to be Randy Orton, who has quite the history with Rhodes. Meanwhile, LA Knight and Kevin Owens are also potential options following Cody’s visit to SmackDown on Friday.

Whoever the fifth member of the team is, expect the feud between Rhodes and The Judgment Day to end at Survivor Series. It has been going on since the RAW after SummerSlam. Perhaps the former AEW star could directly resume his pursuit of Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns missing from advertised PLE 9 months away; 38-year-old star speculated to leave the company promoted for it

The Tribal Chief - Roman Reigns

The Tribal Chief – Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has been criticized for the number of appearances he has had in 2023 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The Tribal Chief has wrestled seven matches in this calendar year and according to the latest poster for WWE’s Bash In Berlin PLE, he may miss that one too.

WWE officially announced an exclusive PLE in Germany for August 2024 and released its poster to get the WWE Universe excited. It looks like the promotion is serious about international events with the announcements of PLEs such as Elimination Chamber and Payback set to take place in Australia and Paris respectively.

While the poster for Bash In Berlin definitely got the WWE Universe talking, a major observation made was the absence of Roman Reigns on it. Additionally, advertising Drew McIntyre on it may seemingly put reports about his departure from the company to rest. The poster advertises Gunther, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.

What happened when Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns faced each other the last time?

Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. He has held on to the title for over 1000 days and has beaten many stars such as Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes and many more. Another name on that list of victims is Drew McIntyre.

The last time the Tribal Chief and the Scottish Warrior went head to head was at Clash At The Castle in 2022. McIntyre came close to dethroning Reigns in front of his home crowd before Solo Sikoa made his main roster debut and helped his cousin retain the title.

Another time when McIntyre came up short against Reigns was at Survivor Series in 2020. The two were champions of their respective brands as McIntyre walked into the bout as the WWE Champion and Reigns was the Universal Champion. The Tribal Chief won that clash via submission.

‘Confusion’ in WWE surrounding Triple H’s plans for Shinsuke Nakamura

There is reportedly ‘confusion’ within WWE over Triple H’s plans for Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE fans are confused as to what Triple H’s plans for Shinsuke Nakamura are, and it’s emerged that most of the wrestlers signed to the company feel the same way.

Under the creative reign of Triple H, many viewers have been enjoying the weekly product on offer from Raw and SmackDown. Alongside some stellar match-ups, ‘The Game’ has put increased focus on character work and melodrama, meaning that fans often can’t take their eyes off the screen.

Importantly though, what we see from WWE these days usually makes sense, and people can usually tell where they might be heading in the weeks and even months to come, but there’s been a constant part of the red brand in recent times that has truly puzzled the fanbase.

WWE Superstars are confused over Shinsuke Nakamura’s plans

Usually, WWE Superstars move from feud to feud and make their intentions clear, however, that hasn’t been the case at all when it comes to Shinsuke Nakamura. When Triple H ran NXT, the 43-year-old was presented as a dominant force and held the brand’s top title on two separate occasions, but his character arc as of late has given no clues as to what his plans are.

The confusion has come from vignettes airing on Raw which see Nakamura sat in a room that’s lit red, seemingly inviting someone who he is waiting for to finally come and find him. He speaks with purpose but has been extremely vague, saying ‘I know where you are’ and asking ‘how long do I need to wait?’ in reference to his mystery foe.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Many are utterly lost as to where Shinsuke’s consistent backstage videos are leading, with a lot of viewers turning to news sites for any indication as to what WWE is planning for the Japanese star.

However, Fightful has revealed that even Shinsuke’s fellow roster members are being kept in the dark as to what’s going on, saying that a lot of the company’s talent haven’t been given the context about the vignettes.

“Talent that we’ve spoken to have not been informed as to the context of Shinsuke Nakamura’s callouts.

Shinsuke Nakamura could feud with CM Punk

As for fan theories, a popular idea is that Nakamura’s segments are what WWE is using to re-introduce a returning CM Punk to the company. However, if this were to be the case, you’d expect the former NXT Champion to announce an open challenge for this Saturday in Chicago to allow the ‘Straight Edge Saviour’ to make a comeback in his hometown, something which has not been confirmed.

Though, the fact that such secrecy exists around what the plan really is suggests to many that what Triple H has in mind must be big enough for WWE to not want people to know, and Punk stepping back into their ring after almost a decade being a complete surprise would be something that would go down in history as an all-time great shock, particularly in his hometown.

CM Punk

Regardless of where it’s going, it’s still very impressive that everyone involved has been able to keep Nakamura’s future direction a secret, especially in the modern day when it’s so easy for things to get leaked.

As always, should more come out about Shinsuke Nakamura and where his vignettes are going, GiveMeSport will keep you informed.

50% chance that CM Punk eventually rejoins WWE

It’s said to be 50/50 right now regarding whether or not CM Punk actually returns to WWE

CM Punk

The latest on how likely CM Punk is to return to WWE has been revealed in a well-connected journalist.

On November 25, WWE heads to the Allstate Arena in Chicago to put on the 37th annual Survivor Series. Currently set for the show are title matches such as GUNTHER defending the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and Rhea Ripley defending the Women’s World Title against Zoey Stark, as well as both a men’s and women’s War Games match.

But, the thing that has gotten fans talking the most is the prospect of a CM Punk WWE return. The 45-year-old has been a free agent since his AEW contract was terminated with cause on September 2, and his in-ring future has remained unclear for many months.

A lot of fans still hope to see him back in action soon, and, given the obvious connection to this Saturday’s WWE Premium Live Event in Illinois, there is a legion of his supporters that are hoping that the static blasts over the speakers at the AllState Arena in just four days.

Triple H feels he has CM Punk in his ‘back pocket’

We’ve seen multiple reports over the last few weeks pertaining to the former WWE Champion potentially making a comeback to the wrestling giant, including the idea that Triple H and co feel as if they have CM Punk ‘in their back pocket’ with regard to a return.

It’s also been said that the star is actively training to return to the squared circle in case he gets the call that WWE wants him to return, but as far as we know, that hasn’t happened to this point.

wwe-cm-punk

Someone who’s routinely been on top of the situation is Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, who is yet to be told that a deal between Punk and WWE had been agreed.

In fact, he has said Punk himself has been telling people that he won’t be at Survivor Series, and while the two-time AEW World Champion isn’t likely to admit that a return is imminent, we now have an indication on how likely a comeback really is.

There’s a 50% chance CM Punk returns to WWE

On Fightful Select’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ podcast, Sapp talked openly about his feelings regarding a return for the Second City Saint, giving his honest thoughts on whether it will come to be. To start, he admitted that the likelihood that Cult of Personality plays this weekend at Survivor Series is around 25%, at least in his opinion.

Speaking more generally, Sapp claimed that he’s of the belief that it’s still 50/50 whether or not Punk returns to WWE at all, meaning that a deal isn’t completely dead yet, at least as far as he’s aware of.

Of course, Punk not coming back this Saturday isn’t the end of the line as far as a return is confirmed, as he could easily re-emerge at a different point. In particular, WWE may ask him to come in as a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble, something that many fans feel would be more appropriate for his comeback than having it at Survivor Series.

However, WWE could also wait until WrestleMania season is in full flow before setting up a match for CM Punk on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’, something that it was reported Triple H might be more interested in.

As always, should more come out about the chances of CM Punk coming back to WWE, GiveMeSport will keep you informed.

Biggest update yet emerges on MJF’s future ahead of potential WWE move

Possibly the biggest update yet has emerged on the future of MJF ahead of his potential move to WWE

After years of speculation, wrestling fans seemingly finally know what the immediate future holds for MJF, with his future in both AEW and WWE being revealed in a new report.

Following the creation of AEW in 2019, there has been a whole new roster of wrestlers becoming superstars across the world due to their exposure on mainstream television.

The likes of Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Hangman Page are just a handful of stars who had grown fanbases due to their work on the independent scene and in Japan and saw their popularity explode to new heights as a result of AEW. Former WWE stars such as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley have had career resurgences due to their moves to the promotion too.

One man in particular who has benefitted tremendously from AEW’s existence is MJF. When Tony Khan first launched the promotion, the wrestler was quite the unknown commodity, but over the last four years, he has become a star and there are few wrestlers in the business today that can elicit the level of responses he can out of audiences whether he’s playing a dastardly villain or relatable hero.

Triple H has a long-standing interest in signing MJF

MJF is one of the hottest figures in wrestling right now, and as a result, rumours of WWE and Triple H having interest in him quickly began to surface as they usually do when someone begins to make a name for themselves outside of the company. It’s no surprise either, MJF is the perfect pro wrestler, with excellent promo skills, but also incredible work inside the squared circle too.

Over the last few years, he’s touted 2024 as the year he becomes a free agent and has regularly admitted he is willing to test the water and has no issue leaving AEW for WWE if the right offer comes along.

Recently though, sources within WWE have revealed they’re not quite sure that is going to be the case come next year, and not think that Triple H will actually be legally able to get him to join the company come 2024.

WWE officials think MJF has re-signed with AEW

While he might say one thing on the microphone, WWE is very much convinced that behind the scenes, things are very different. According to Haus of Wrestling, the company very much believes that MJF has actually signed a new contract with AEW that would keep him with the promotion until at least 2027, effectively ruling out any chance of a move to Triple H and company in the near future.

The report revealed that Triple H hasn’t engaged in any discussions with the AEW Champion about a potential deal as WWE believes there’s zero chance his contract will expire in 2024 and there’s no chance of landing him right now.

It makes sense too, as while MJF may say he is open to leaving next year, there’s simply no way Khan would have pushed him to the stratosphere as he has and essentially build his entire company around him over the last 12 months in the manner in which he has if there was even a slight chance he would be vanishing in just a few short months.

He’s become one of the most entertaining aspects of AEW, and the main event scene is all the more interesting with him in it, so AEW is wise to do whatever it takes to keep hold of their talisman. It is a shame, though, as we can only imagine the incredible work he could do in a WWE ring too.

John Cena’s physique before he got famous in WWE was absolutely ridiculous

John Cena’s physique before he got famous was absolutely ridiculous as rare footage emerges

‘The greatest of all time’ John Cena has recently posted a video on his official TikTok account showing just how jacked he looked before he became famous with WWE.

We all remember back in 2002 (was it really 21 years ago!?) when Cena started his journey in WWE, and the now very famous “ruthless aggression” line when confronting Kurt Angle, but not many people will know what The Leader of the Cenation looked like before he made his debut on SmackDown.

Well, the footage recently shared by the man himself shows the GOAT in some very skimpy shorts that he got from a place that sold clothes for exotic dancers, perhaps not one of his best decisions! When we say they are very skimpy, let’s just say they leave little to the imagination.

Very little! Cena, however, looked in incredible condition, and the definition of his muscles is seriously impressive. He may have an impressive physique, but his hairstyle is very questionable, which followed him during the early part of his wrestling career.

MixCollage-23-Nov-2023-09-52-AM-1394

John Cena’s incredible physique

Cena has gone through obvious body transformations over the years, having started as a bodybuilder before making his way into wrestling. A journey a lot of Superstars have made before Cena.

Known as ‘The Prototype’ on the independent circuit at Ultimate Pro Wrestling, where Cena’s TikTok post is from, he still showed some signs of his bodybuilding past. When he moved to OVW, he became leaner than in the footage below.

Cena’s abs and big pecs were on display, and it was clear he had been a frequent visitor to the gym in the early days. He had become vascular, which resulted in his muscles appearing to be more defined and bulging. His physique was certainly not a natural appearance, and the amount of work and time Cena had been putting in the gym was clear.

Ring Name
John Cena

Real Name
John Cena

Date of Birth
April 23, 1977 (age 46)

Height
6 ft 1 in

Weight
251 lb

Hometown
West Newbury, Massachusetts

Debut
November 1999

The 16-time WWE Champion’s natural talent for strength training stretches back to the late ’90s and early 2000s. Cena frequently broke records at the original Hard Knocks gym in Massachusetts, with many of his records still standing more than 20 years later.

From an early age, Cena was determined to have a great body, and his move into wrestling made it imperative for him to keep that physique. When did Cena start weight training, we hear you ask? Aged 12, yes, just 12 years old. When he graduated from high school, he weighed around 240lbs.

Video: John Cena before he got famous

Cena has kept himself in unbelievable shape over the years, as seen in his recent WWE return. It’s not all about gym work and lifting the heaviest weight imaginable. Cena sticks to a strict diet, too. His diet plan consists of seven meals a day, all of which are high in protein.

His strict diet is essential for maintaining his physique, and one of the reasons it takes him little time to get up to speed when stepping back in the ring. Cena’s diet is arguably one of the most difficult to follow due to the amount of discipline and commitment required.

“I have a very specific diet,” Cena told Business Insider. “It is not easy, but it’s not as difficult as people make it out to be.” His diet hasn’t changed much over the years and is one of the vital aspects of maintaining one of the most recognisable physiques in WWE.
