Three European Countries Join Efforts to Transfer Military Field Hospital to Ukraine

Estonia Europe Germany Humanitarian aid Iceland Medical care War with Russia World

Estonia and Iceland, together with Germany, sent a military field hospital to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Estonia reported about this on Friday, November 10, on social media.

Estonia and Iceland donated equipment to the field hospital, while Germany provided the vehicles that will transport it. These are MAN off-road trucks.

Typically, such a field hospital consists of containers and tents for surgery, emergency care, intensive care, and several wards.

It can also include auxiliary modules for the dental department, laboratory, medical staff, sterilization, and warehouse.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Estonia, in cooperation with various countries, has transferred field hospitals to Ukraine.

The field hospital is a key element in helping those affected during hostilities. It’s designated to identify, stabilize, and, if necessary, provide surgical intervention to wounded personnel before they are brought to the hospital.

In September 2023, Rheinmetall transferred a trailer mobile field hospital to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The transfer of the mobile field hospital happened following the signing of a contract between Rheinmetall and the German Ministry of Defense in September 2022.

In addition to production, the contract provides for future personnel training and equipment support. The contract’s value is estimated at €9 million.

The field hospital is designed for 32 beds, along with eight intensive care beds, an operating room with all sterilization means, an X-ray, tomographic equipment, a laboratory, a pharmacy, and a resting space for the medical warehouse.

The transfer of the mobile hospital was executed in two stages: first, ten Ukrainian soldiers underwent a 14-day training course for its deployment and operation, and then, an official transfer occurred in a certain place.

Junker-DG-250 Cargo Parachutes Delivered to Russian Army

Aviation Neighbors Russia World

Russian troops began to receive new Junker-DG-250 cargo parachutes with the GLONASS system.

The new Junker-DG-250 cargo parachute system with automatic control and GLONASS navigation system has already been tested.

The Junker-DG-250 system allows the landing of cargo with a total flight weight of up to 250 kg from aircraft at a speed of up to 350 km/h from an altitude of up to 8,000 meters.

At the same time, Rostec Corporation is working on a version of the parachute system that is able to carry loads with a total flight weight of up to 500 kg.

A parachute of the “wing” type’s landing is carried out by control based on the analysis of information about the landing point entered by the operator when using the flight mission preparation module.

The complex also uses the “Follow Me” system, installed on a parachute pilot. It works out the flight path, following a pilot until his landing. It can also be manually controlled due to the remote module of the operator of the parachute system control system.

At the same time, the accuracy of landing when receiving GLONASS in standard weather conditions is up to 100 meters.

In addition, several such cargo systems can fly one after another, following the “caravan.”

The Juncker series of parachute systems is being developed by the Ivanovo Polet parachute plant.

Lancet Upgraded for Nighttime Strikes, Claims Russian Propaganda

Neighbors Russia Russian Armed Forces UAV Ukraine War with Russia

Russian propagandists say that the invaders are able to use the Lancet loitering munition in nighttime conditions.

The invaders published a corresponding video on social media.

The Russians use Lancet LM to defeat armored vehicles, artillery, and other important targets on the battlefield or in the near rear of Ukrainian troops.

As stated, for use at night, the drone was allegedly equipped with an inexpensive thermal imager. However, this claim is questionable.

It can be assumed that for Lancet use in night conditions, the Russians could equip a video camera with infrared illumination (IR).

Such cameras are cheaper and more affordable for Russians when buying abroad than thermal imagers. They can also be purchased on the civilian market.

It is also doubtful that Russia was able to establish the production of small, cheap disposable thermal imagers at its own production facilities.

Russian propagandists, in their publications, say that now the Lancet has wider combat capabilities, including the ability to defeat targets at night.

If true, the use of such drones will negatively affect the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and will allow the invaders to attack targets at any time of the day.

Currently, the Lancet, with the ability to operate in night conditions, is being tested and, as stated, is used on the front line.

Recently, it became known that the Russians began to use a new version of the Lancet LM, which makes useless anti-cumulative grilles and anti-drone grids. The drone received the function of remotely detonating the warhead at a distance from the target.

To launch the warhead at the right time, the drone is equipped with lidar, which uses two optical sensors to measure the distance to the object.

Alpha Operators Hit Armored Vehicles and Russian Infantry with FPV Drones

Armed Forces of Ukraine IFV Occupants elimination Security Service of Ukraine Tank UAV Ukraine War with Russia

The Security Service of Ukraine ‘Alpha’ Group operators hit equipment and manpower of the Russian invasion forces in the most active areas of the front.

The Security Service released a video of the Special Group “Alpha” operator’s engagement.

Kamikaze drones were mainly used to defeat enemy equipment, in particular near Avdiivka.

Ukrainian drones also hit Russian infantry, which were on board armored vehicles.

In general, over the week, Ukrainian special forces hit many units of equipment, artillery systems and military vehicles of the invaders.

Most of the footage of the SSU video recorded Ukrainian FPV drones equipped mainly with HEAT ammunition flying close to infantry fighting vehicles, for the most part BMP-1, and MT-LB armored fighting vehicles, which are used by the Russians as armored personnel carriers, and hit them.

Russian infantrymen, who were on top of the armored vehicles, also often suffered as a result of the attacks on equipment.

Tanks and trucks were also often damaged due to the drones with cumulative charges.

In particular, an army truck with the crew of a Russian towed gun was hit.

Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile strike that destroyed the center for the production and training of FPV drone operators in occupied by Russians Donetsk city.

The Center was also involved in the production of ammunition tails used by UAVs. These tails were 3D printed in the destroyed building.

According to Russian media, over 10,000 specialists have already completed training programs at the Center.
