Bob Pranga, the Christmas tree designer to the stars, has candidly recounted his experience of working for Beyonce and Jay-Z.
‘Dr. Christmas,’ as he is fondly known, has worked for a dazzling variety of celebrities ranging from Mariah Carey and Kris Jenner to Old Hollywood legend Bob Hope.
Two days before Christmas Eve one year, Bob was informed that Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted their Malibu estate done up in full Yuletide splendor.
Their theme of choice was ‘Christmas In Africa,’ and Bob promptly set to work – with under 24 hours to have the house festooned with décor.
In a wide-ranging new interview with People, Bob looked back on his decades-long career bringing seasonal cheer to the brightest luminaries of Hollywood.

When the conversation arrived at Beyonce, Dr. Christmas held forth about the seat-of-the-pants operation of getting her house ready.
‘I got a call from her assistant that they decided they wanted to spend Christmas in Malibu… three days before Christmas,’ he dished.
‘It was a fascinating thing to me because I went out there and it was like a movie set,’ marveled Bob, who co-owns his Dr. Christmas company with one Debi Staron.
‘All these people were hired to make this house perfect before they got there for Christmas Eve. We had less than 24 hours to prepare her home,’ he said.
Despite the formidable time-crunch he found himself working under, Bob had nothing but warm words about Beyonce herself.
‘Beyonce is just a lovely lady. She’s very chill. People are always looking for those wonderful or horrible stories of celebrities. But I get to see these people as people at home,’ he explained in his latest interview.
Although her Christmas plans for this year remain a mystery, Beyonce did just return to the United States after a surprise trip to Brazil.
She flew off to Salvador on Thursday on her $40million private jet to delight her legions of fans at an event for her Renaissance Tour concert film.

Earlier this month, the Single Ladies hitmaker celebrated the release of her ravenously anticipated concert movie Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce.
Directed by the songstress herself, the movie is an on-camera record of her Renaissance World Tour, which was named after her 2022 album of the same name.
The movie arrived in theaters on December 1, which is to say World AIDS Day – a touching detail inasmuch as the Renaissance album was dedicated to Beyonce’s gay cousin Jonny whom she lost to AIDS-related sickness.
