Elevating Luxury Yachting’s Future: sea level’s CF8 and Its Innovative Curved Glass Design

With the’CF8′ concept, the Dutch yacht design and engineering firm sea level looks to the future of long-distance water travel. With space for a family’s automobiles and belongings, the 80-meter yacht would function as a floating community. In contrast to conventional yachts, the hull and glass superstructure would be inextricably linked by a strong outer shape, and the downward lines from the upper section of the hull to the head would give the yacht an effective aerodynamic shape.

During the design process, Sea Level was influenced by the louwman exclusive automobiles glass showroom in the Netherlands, as a result of which they proposed a curved structure that opposes the outer lines. The 100 cubic metre glass carport includes a hydraulic platform for disembarking automobiles from the yacht. The proprietor will be able to select the appropriate vehicle from his or her collection for any occasion. In order to ensure the viability of this design, sea level created a structural element consisting of a large central support beam spanning the entire ‘CF8’. The extreme width also provides excellent stability at sea, which will provide guests and personnel with maximum comfort. Onboard, superyacht owners will experience an interior and outdoor environment never before seen.
