The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with an additional €500 million military aid package.

Het Parool reported on this.

“They (Ukrainians – Ed.) need support to continue the fight. In this case, it regards ammunition. In this regard, we were able to offer Ukraine a new aid package,” said Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren.

She noted that the aid package will arrive in Ukraine by the mid-year of 2024.

As part of the aid, €260 million will be spent on artillery ammunition and €240 million on tank ammunition.

Ollongren said that the Netherlands would continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine “as long as necessary.”

In October, Militarnyi reported that Ukrainian border guards had received a shipment of medical equipment from the Netherlands.

These mobile hospitals are supplied by Hospitainer as part of the government program and under the coordination of the Netherlands Embassy to Ukraine to strengthen the medical capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the ongoing Russian aggression.

As previously reported, the Netherlands would provide Ukraine with missiles for Patriot air defense systems to help defend against Russian air strikes.

In April of this year, Ukraine received two Patriot SAM launchers and an unspecified number of anti-aircraft missiles from the Netherlands as part of military aid.

Ukraine will also receive a batch of armored vehicles and artillery weapons as part of a joint program between the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Specifically, it will include the supply of additional tanks, howitzers, small arms, infantry fighting vehicles, air defense equipment, electronic warfare, or ammunition from defense companies.
