Dr. Christmas reveals how he transformed Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Malibu home with a ‘Christmas in Africa’ theme: ‘It was like a movie set’

Bob Pranga, the Christmas tree designer to the stars, has candidly recounted his experience of working for Beyonce and Jay-Z.

‘Dr. Christmas,’ as he is fondly known, has worked for a dazzling variety of celebrities ranging from Mariah Carey and Kris Jenner to Old Hollywood legend Bob Hope.

Two days before Christmas Eve one year, Bob was informed that Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted their Malibu estate done up in full Yuletide splendor.

Their theme of choice was ‘Christmas In Africa,’ and Bob promptly set to work – with under 24 hours to have the house festooned with décor.

In a wide-ranging new interview with People, Bob looked back on his decades-long career bringing seasonal cheer to the brightest luminaries of Hollywood.

Three days before Christmas one year, Bob (pictured last year at the Hollywood museum) was informed that Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted their Malibu estate done up in full Yuletide splendor

When the conversation arrived at Beyonce, Dr. Christmas held forth about the seat-of-the-pants operation of getting her house ready.

‘I got a call from her assistant that they decided they wanted to spend Christmas in Malibu… three days before Christmas,’ he dished.

‘It was a fascinating thing to me because I went out there and it was like a movie set,’ marveled Bob, who co-owns his Dr. Christmas company with one Debi Staron.

‘All these people were hired to make this house perfect before they got there for Christmas Eve. We had less than 24 hours to prepare her home,’ he said.

Despite the formidable time-crunch he found himself working under, Bob had nothing but warm words about Beyonce herself.

‘Beyonce is just a lovely lady. She’s very chill. People are always looking for those wonderful or horrible stories of celebrities. But I get to see these people as people at home,’ he explained in his latest interview.

Although her Christmas plans for this year remain a mystery, Beyonce did just return to the United States after a surprise trip to Brazil.

She flew off to Salvador on Thursday on her $40million private jet to delight her legions of fans at an event for her Renaissance Tour concert film.

Earlier this month, the Single Ladies hitmaker celebrated the release of her ravenously anticipated concert movie Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce.

Directed by the songstress herself, the movie is an on-camera record of her Renaissance World Tour, which was named after her 2022 album of the same name.

The movie arrived in theaters on December 1, which is to say World AIDS Day – a touching detail inasmuch as the Renaissance album was dedicated to Beyonce’s gay cousin Jonny whom she lost to AIDS-related sickness.

“You Can Be A Beyhive And Be Critical”: Fans Disappointed As Japanese Illustrator Claims Beyoncé Stole His Art

Beyoncé has just found herself in a rare pickle after being accused of stealing designs from her blockbuster Renaissance Tour in a social media post from Monday (December 11).

The Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama took to his Instagram page to post a carousel of pictures featuring snaps of Beyoncé’s concert and merchandise, as well as his own original designs depicting robotic women in metallic body suits and helmets.

The resemblance between the 42-year-old hitmaker’s costume and Hajime’s designs was undeniably uncanny, as Beyoncé appeared to be wearing the same shimmering silver helmet with antenna-like spikes jutting out over her ear as his own art.

The 76-year-old artist, whose style has influenced other works such as the 2015 film Ex Machina, is notable for his erotic art of gynoid robots in 1983.

The Japanese illustrator’s pin-up work appeared monthly for years on the pages of Penthouse magazine, and Playboy TV later aired a television special on his art.

Hajime wrote in the caption of his post: “Yo Beyoncé. You should have asked me ‘officially’ so that I could make much better work for you as like my man The Weeknd.”

The artist had previously collaborated with the Canadian singer to design a new cover for the 10th-anniversary reissue of his 2011 mixtape Echoes Of Silence.

The Weeknd’s new cover displayed the side profile of a silver android figure, seemingly female, with its neck arched back.

Moreover, one of the centerpieces for The Weeknd’s concerts during his After Hours Til Dawn tour was a towering figure representing the album cover’s alien designed by Hajime.

“You can still be a Beyhive but still be critical,” a person penned under Hajime’s Instagram post. They added: “I immediately thought she collaborated with Sorayama for the android visuals. This is a bit of a letdown.”

Another user commented: “This is robbery and disrespectful towards your original design and idea. It doesn’t matter if she wasn’t involved the ‘designer’ that brought this to her and get it approved by her and her team needs to be held accountable. You deserve better than this considering how influential you are and the work you’ve done throughout the years.”

Meanwhile, members of the Beyhive rushed to the comment section to defend their idol’s choice of costume, stating that Hajime had drawn inspiration from the futuristic 1927 Metropolis film.

Other fans of Beyoncé pointed to Thierry Mugler’s 1995 Woman Of Steel design, famously photographed by Helmut Newton for Vogue Magazine.

A Beyhive wrote: “You’re a little late and should get some sleep. These have been out forever and given the amount of couture designers who made custom work for her, she has no reason to steal your work. Solve your personal issues.”

Another Beyoncé fan chimed in: “Metropolis, Mugler, Gaultier, and more have all done this. You don’t own the Android aesthetic.”

In Hajime’s Instagram post, a picture that showed a closeup of a gray T-shirt with Beyoncé’s robotic face that was presumably sold at one of Beyoncé’s shows was featured.

According to the Daily Mail, that particular design doesn’t appear to be currently available on the music star’s website, but other similar designs featuring the same costume are for sale for around $60.

As a result, it would imply that Beyoncé is appropriating the illustrator’s art and profiting from it. Nevertheless, the Single Ladies singer’s team has yet to confirm where she has actually drawn her inspiration from.

In other Beyoncé tour news, last month, it was the R&B star’s new hairdo that sparked outrage online, with critics blowing it out of proportion so immensely that Beyoncé’s mother had to come to her defense.

As the singer uploaded snaps where she posed with her bleach blonde hair, after attending the Los Angeles premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé on Tuesday (November 26), inappropriate talks about her complexion flooded comment sections online.

The backlash provoked Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, to address the trolls, calling all the haters “bozos” for their “stupid, ignorant, self-hating racist statements about [Beyoncé] lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair and wanting to be white.”

Hajime Sorayama’s Instagram post divided people online:

As Beyonce unveils paler than usual complexion…experts warn of the life-threatening effects of skin bleaching treatments, including coma and organ failure-TH

Fans are speculating on social media that mega-star Beyonce is lightening her skin after recent photos show her skin looking unusually whiter than usual.

Last weekend, the 42-year-old diva lit up the red carpet for the US premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

She sported platinum-blond locks and a silver gown, but social media users were more drawn to her skin tone. Fans on Twitter questioned if the mega-star has lightened her skin.

User @LibraGoddess106 said: ‘Did she bleach her skin. She is not this light.’

@OlympusPlatinum said: ‘Who is this white woman?’ Another user commented: ‘So she’s not black anymore.’

It’s unclear if Beyonce’s skin tone is the result of photo editing or lightening products.

Mega-star Beyonce stepped on to the red carpet last weekend with platinum locks and a silver dress. Fans speculated that she is whitening her skin

In older images, such as this one from 2001, Beyonce’s skin tone appears darker

But the images have triggered stark warnings by health experts – who have voiced serious concerns about celebrities ‘encouraging’ the treatment.

A dermatologist based in New Mexico told DailyMail.com that ‘messing with mother nature’ and lightening skin can have lasting health consequences, such as skin inflammation, discoloration, and even organ failure.

Skin bleaching involves rubbing products on the skin, such as creams and lotions that reduce melanin, the pigment that gives color to hair, eyes, and skin.

People with darker skin have more melanin, though hormones and sunlight can also impact melanin production.

The treatment is also meant to minimize dark spots, reduce acne scars, and even out skin tone.

In 2021, fans criticized an ad campaign Beyonce and husband Jay-Z did with Tiffany and Co, which they said made her skin look lighter

In 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) deemed over-the-counter skin-bleaching products unsafe for use in humans due to the ingredient hydroquinone, which has been shown to cause skin discoloration, rashes, and facial swelling.

Excess amounts of hydroquinone could lead to exogenous ochronosis, a disorder that results in blue-black skin pigmentation.

Several products also contain mercury. Mercury-laced lightening products seep through the skin into the bloodstream, where the heavy metals block the production of melanin.

These products have been linked to organ damage, rashes, infections, coma, and death.

It’s unclear if Beyonce is actually using skin-lightening treatments or if her lighter complexion is due to photo editing

‘[Over-the-counter] treatments are highly unregulated,’ the dermatologist said. This means that companies can sell products with harmful ingredients, often not labeling them or using unfamiliar names like ‘calomel’ and ‘mercurio’ for mercury.

Experts warn that this could be dangerous for consumers because they don’t know what they’re putting in their bodies.

Last year, health officials sounded the alarm over skin-lightening creams with mercury after a Minnesota mom went partially blind.

An official report found the unnamed patient had been using certain home-bought and imported products that had levels 18,000 times higher than the safe amount – even though this was not disclosed on the labels.

In a 2014 study of 549 skin-lightening products found online and in stores, 12 percent contained mercury. Roughly half of the products were from US stores.

Symptoms of mercury poisoning can include poor peripheral vision, pins and needles sensations, lack of coordination, poor speech or hearing, and muscle weakness.

Skin bleaching has also been linked to skin inflammation, also known as dermatitis. Symptoms include skin redness, blisters, skin ulcers, hives, dry skin, swelling, itching, and burning.

It isn’t the first time claims of ‘white-washing’ have been made against Beyonce.

In 2021, the star and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, were seen in a luxury jewelry ad campaign (above). Fans accused the ad of lightening her skin tone and sending a ‘worrying message’ to fans.

In 2008, Beyonce faced controversy when her skin appeared shades lighter in an advertisement for L’Oreal.

And in 2012, a photo used to promote her album 4, released in 2011, surfaced showing the mega-star looking much paler than her usual tone – again sparking claims of skin-lightening filters being used.

Dr Gendai Echezona, anethesiologist and pain medicine specialist in Connecticut, told DailyMail.com: ‘If you want to even out your skin tone, a trusty healthcare professional can help with safe treatments – but that’s very different from lightening it.’

A representative from Beyonce has been approached for comment.

Singer Beyoncé was ‘accused’ of being the cause of inflation in Sweden, surprising fans-TH

Not the conflict in Ukraine or supply chain disruption, singer Beyoncé has become the cause of price inflation in Sweden.

Photo captionsSinger Beyoncé. Photo: Getty Images

The chief economist at Danske Bank – the largest bank in Denmark – said that the singer’s decision to open his world tour “Renaissance” in Stockholm last month has caused restaurant and hotel prices in the area to increase. suddenly, when tens of thousands of fans flocked to this city.

Mr. Michael Grahn estimates that sudden demand from Beyoncé’s fans, or BeyHive, accounted for two-thirds of the reason for price increases in the Swedish hotel industry in May.

The above index has contributed to the Swedish government’s overall inflation reduction efforts only reaching a more modest level than expected. Official statistics showed annual consumer price inflation eased to 9.7% in May from 10.5% the previous month, while economists polled by Reuters had predicted a lower level. A sharper decrease of 9.4%.

“It’s definitely not normal. Big stars always come here, but we rarely see such effects,” Mr. Grahn told CNN.

This economist said that many audiences went to Sweden to watch Beyoncé’s two concerts in the country because ticket prices were relatively cheaper than elsewhere. In addition, the weak Swedish currency has boosted spending demand.

Some Beyoncé fans in the US shared with BuzzFeed News in February that they had purchased tickets for concerts in Sweden at a large discount compared to events held in the US.

After Beyoncé’s effect, hotels and accommodation in areas far from the capital Stockholm have increased prices. However, expert Grahn predicts this effect will only be short-term and hotel prices will gradually decrease.

Later this month, American singer Bruce Springsteen will also hold three shows in the Swedish city of Gothenburg and could put pressure on prices.

Britney Spears reveals she wants to do remix with Beyonce as she dances around with bandaged finger in another concerning video-TH

Britney Spears revealed she wants to collaborate with Beyonce as she posted another dancing video on Monday.

The singer, 41, who made headlines for dancing with knives recently, showed off her bandaged finger as she danced to Beyonce’s Daddy Lessons  – while revealing she would love to remix the song with the Destiny’s Child icon.

She captioned the video – which was first posted on Sunday and then-deleted: ‘So many people have done remixes to my songs without my knowledge … so I guess it’s safe to say I will be redoing this song eventually!!!

‘Just need to meet Jay-Z and add a rap to it … what’s up ???’

The star sported a bandage  on her finger as she showed off her moves to her 42.2 million Instagram followers.

Plans: Britney Spears revealed she wants to collaborate with Beyonce as she posted another dancing video on Monday

The Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist in the clip wore a long-sleeved black top with horizontal tears, leopard skin panties and black boots.

The Womanizer songstress had her long blonde locks down and wore a necklace as she danced in the foyer of her Southern California home.

There were a pair of white boots and assorted clothes on the tiled floor of the luxury home, which appeared to have a Christmas tree put up in the time between the first and second clips she posted Sunday.

After she deleted the initial post with the bandage, she posted another dance clip in which she danced to the Beyonce track.

The songstress showed off her fit figure as she donned a purple lingerie one-piece with black boots.

Spears was seen in a clip dancing with two butcher knives in hand September 25.

In the September 25 post in which Spears danced with sharp objects in hand, she assured fans in the caption: ‘I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives!!!’

The Womanizer songstress was back on the social media site with a dancing clip September 26 in which she wore a low-cut white blouse with long sleeves, in which her arms could not be seen.

Spears – who is in the divorce process with estranged husband Sam Asghari – sparked fears among fans when she sported a bandage on her arm and possible cuts on her person in two September 27 Instagram clips.

Spears reportedly has ‘had a fascination with knives,’ TMZ reported in May, adding that the singer slept ‘with one under her bed’ amid terror of being ‘re-institutionalized.’

A year and a half after the end of her 13-year conservatorship, in which Spears previously described as ‘abusive’ in explosive courtroom testimony, a source alleged that the pop star remains in ‘mortal fear’ that ‘someone will come in the middle of the night, strap her to a gurney and take her to a psych ward.’

After regaining control of her own personal and financial affairs in 2021, the site claims those caring for the mother-of-two ‘prepared a list of recommendations’ for Spears, which included keeping her away from weapons and ‘not driving alone.’

The singer, who revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, is said to have a ‘constant fear of being re-institutionalized.’

In 2022, Britney’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, claimed in her tell-all book that her sibling once locked them in a room together while holding a knife.

In a passage from her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, the Zoey 101 alum, 32, recalled Britney telling her she was ‘scared’ before taking ‘large knife from the kitchen’ and pulling her into her room and locking them ‘both inside.’

Spears reportedly has ‘had a fascination with knives,’ TMZ reported in May, adding that the singer slept ‘with one under her bed’ amid terror of being ‘re-institutionalized’

Jamie Lynn Spears claims she has a text that ‘clears’ her name
‘She put the knife in the bedside table drawer and simply repeated, ‘I’m scared’’ Jamie Lynn recalled. ‘I knew something was wrong and I was powerless to do something about it.’

While discussing the claim on an episode of Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, in 2022, the former child star clarified that she ‘never felt like [Britney] was going to harm’ her or ‘anything.’

‘It just felt weird. And I didn’t understand it,’ she said of the incident that reportedly occurred in 2004, shortly after Britney’s wedding to Jason Alexander, which was annulled within 55 hours.

At the time, Jamie Lynn would have been just 13, and Britney 22.

Britney vehemently denied the alleged incident between them on Twitter.

‘I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such!!!’ Britney tweeted in 2022. ‘The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut.’

Britney then expressed feeling hurt by the claims and said she was ‘actually very confused’ why Jamie Lynn was ‘making that up because it’s honestly not like’ her to lie.

Following the release of her book, Jamie Lynn defended her choice to tell the story as she pointed out her book is ‘not about her’ sister.

‘I can’t help that I was born a Spears too, and that some of my experiences involve my sister,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘I’ve worked hard since before I was even a teenager, and I’ve built my career in spite of just being someone’s little sister.’

Britney has been anticipating the release of her memoir, The Woman In Me, which will be available on October 24.

Beyoncé’s childhood home catches fire in Houston’s Third Ward on Christmas morning

When fire crews arrived at the scene, the family who lived in the home had already gotten out safely.Houston families take advantage of cool Christmas Day weather at Discovery Green

HOUSTON — The childhood home where Beyoncé grew up caught fire early Christmas morning, leaving the current family living there without a home, according to records.

Houston firefighters said they responded to a house fire just after 2 a.m. on Rosedale just east of Highway 288.

When fire crews arrived at the scene, the family who lived in the home had already gotten out safely, HFD District Chief Justin Barnes said. The fire was coming from the second floor of the home.

Nextdoor neighbor Jack May told KHOU 11 he saw the flames that morning and heard emergency responders cutting a hole in the roof of the home.

“My first thought was they have little children so we came out and there was no indication that there was any tragedy so we watched and prayed for the best,” May said.

Firefighters were able to get to the fire quickly and no injuries were reported, however, at least one side of the home was severely damaged.

Even with debris outside and broken windows, the home may look familiar to some.

It’s known to be the childhood home of Houston native Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. The home has previously been featured in movies and documentaries that feature the megastar.

In September, Knowles-Carter herself was spotted with her mother Tina taking pictures in front of the home when they were in Houston for the Texas leg of the “Renaissance” world tour.

“We have Beyoncé tourists here all the time, it’s bizarre,” May said. “This house was for sale in ’93 which was when the Knowles moved out and we took a look at it but ultimately didn’t go forward with it.”

For the sake of the family living in the home, now displaced, May said he hopes the Christmas morning fire doesn’t draw additional fanfare.

“Oh, I hope [it draws] less people – there’s nothing to see today that you couldn’t see yesterday or 6 months from now,” he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are crazy in love with their three children: Blue Ivy, 11, and twins Rumi and Sir, 6.

The musicians — who tied the knot in April 2008 — confirmed they were expecting their first child three years later when Beyoncé teased, “I have a surprise,” while cradling a baby bump on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

They welcomed their oldest child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012.

“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” Beyoncé told PEOPLE in April 2012 after being named PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

While speaking on LeBron James’ show, The Shop: Uninterrupted, JAY-Z also opened up about becoming a father.

Beyoncé Praises Daughter Blue Ivy After She Joins Mom on Renaissance Tour: ‘I’m So Proud’

“It’s amazing. It’s a very grounding thing … I didn’t learn how to swim until Blue was born,” he said. “There goes everything you need to know. This is a metaphor for our relationship. If she ever fell in the water and I couldn’t get her, I couldn’t even fathom that thought. I gotta learn how to swim. That’s it. That was the beginning of our relationship.”

Five years later, the proud parents made Blue a big sister. They welcomed twins, Rumi and Sir, on June 13, 2017.

While Beyoncé and JAY-Z are known for being private when it comes to their three children, that hasn’t stopped them from letting Blue Ivy be in the spotlight. Their oldest child has collaborated with both of them on several projects, including dancing alongside her famous mom during Beyoncé’s 2022 Academy Awards performance of “Be Alive.” The 11-year-old has also joined her mother onstage several times during Beyoncé’s ongoing Renaissance World Tour.

Here’s everything to know about Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy.

She was born on Jan. 7, 2012, in New York City

Beyoncé and JAY-Z welcomed Blue Ivy Carter on Jan. 7, 2012, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Two days after her birth, TIME magazine dubbed her “the most famous baby in the world.”

Upon the news of her arrival, the pair’s famous friends were quick to congratulate the newly minted family of three. “Welcome to the world princess Carter!,” Rihanna tweeted.

The pair released the first photo of Blue alongside a handwritten note approximately one month after she was born. “We welcome you to share in our joy,” the new parents wrote. “Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives.”

In a 2013 interview with Vogue, Beyoncé recalled the experience of welcoming her first child. “My family and my closest people were there when I gave birth,” she said. “Everything that scared me just was not present in that room. So for me to really let go and really appreciate every contraction … It was the best day of my life.”

She holds two Guinness World Records

When Blue Ivy was 2 days old, JAY-Z recorded her vocals and incorporated them into his song “Glory.” The Roc Nation founder wrote the song about his firstborn daughter, and it features lyrics about a miscarriage his wife had previously experienced.

JAY-Z rapped: “False alarms and false starts/ All made better by the sound of your heart/ All the pain of the last time/ I prayed so hard it was the last time.”

“Glory” debuted on the U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, making Blue a Guinness World Record holder for being the youngest person to have a song appear on a Billboard chart.

In 2021, Blue — who sings on the opening and closing of Beyoncé’s track “Brown Skin Girl” and has a writing credit for the song — won best music video as a featured artist at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. This earned her a second Guinness World Record title for being the youngest individually credited winner at the Grammys.

The single also features SAINt JHN and Wizkid and appeared on the album The Lion King: The Gift.

She made history twice for her appearance in “Brown Skin Girl”

Not only is she the title holder of two Guinness World Records, but Blue Ivy also made history by being both the youngest BET and youngest VMA winner for “Brown Skin Girl.”

In 2020, at 8 years old, she received the BET HER award for the song, which sings the praises of Black beauty. And in August 2021, she picked up MTV’s coveted award in the best cinematography category.

Just like her parents, every time Blue Ivy steps out, all eyes are on her. To help her look her best, the parents have enlisted Manuel Mendez — who has worked as Beyoncé’s personal assistant — to be their daughter’s personal shopper and stylist.

Mendez has been styling Blue since she was 20 months old and is credited with some of her most iconic looks, including her ensemble for JAY-Z’s “Family Feud” music video and the custom Valery Kovalska white suit she wore to the 2018 Grammys.

Mendez also lends his talent to Rumi and Sir and frequently posts looks he pulls together for the Carter children.

She gets embarrassed by her parents

Even though her parents are some of the most well-known figures in the world, Blue Ivy still gets embarrassed by them from time to time.

While sitting courtside with her dad for Game 5 of the NBA Finals in 2022, the jumbotron panned to JAY-Z, who smiled and lovingly gave his daughter a kiss on the cheek. In the now-viral video, Blue can be seen mouthing, “Dad, my hair,” as he embraced her.

She also snubbed her dad on one of the most memorable days of his life — finding out he’d be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

JAY-Z was dropping Blue off at school in 2021 when he received the news he was an inductee. Recalling the moment while appearing on HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted, the father of three said, “As she walked away I was like, ‘Yo, give me a kiss, I’m in the Hall of Fame!’ ” His daughter didn’t seem too impressed, as she replied, “Bye, Dad.”

Despite seeming unimpressed at first, Blue had a hand in the October 2021 induction ceremony, where her dad became the first living solo rap artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In a pre-recorded video, Blue, alongside her mom and other famous pals, including Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled and Usher, recited some of his most memorable lyrics.

“Congrats S. Carter, ghost writer/You paid the right price, so we just make your hits tighter,” Blue Ivy rapped, laughing as she read out the censored line from JAY-Z’s 1998 track “Ride or Die.”

JAY-Z was inducted by former President Barack Obama and Dave Chappelle.

She has several hobbies

In a birthday tribute posted on her 11th birthday, Blue’s maternal grandmother, Tina Knowles-Lawson highlighted the special bond she has with her granddaughter and gave a glimpse into Blue’s current hobbies and interests.

“You can sing dance, play basketball, play volleyball, paint, draw, sculpt, sew, write poetry, write songs, create, act, play the piano! I could go on and on,” she wrote on Instagram. “Because there’s really nothing that you can’t do.”

Knowles-Lawson continued, “You are funny and beautiful and graceful, kind, and so smart. I could not ask for a better granddaughter, Ms. Blue Ivy Carter! I could not be more blessed, grateful, and completely in love with another human. You truly bring me joy!! Grandma T.”

She narrated a New York Times bestselling book

In 2020, it was announced that Blue would expand her résumé by narrating the Hair Love audiobook. Authored by former professional football player Matthew A. Cherry, the children’s book tells a story about a Black father who works with his young daughter to learn how to do her hair while his wife is in the hospital.

“I liked the idea of something that was centered around a Black family, because so often you don’t see that in animation,” Cherry told the Los Angeles Times.

Cherry shared a short clip of Blue’s voice with the announcement, in which Blue introduced the book and herself, over a photo of the cover.

“Dreamscape presents Hair Love, by Matthew A. Cherry,” she said. “Narrated by Blue Ivy Carter.”

She is talented with makeup

It appears Blue Ivy has always had a knack for makeup — even from a young age. Her artistry skills were first on display at 4 years old when Beyoncé shared an image of Blue playing with her lip gloss and applying it neatly.

Blue’s grandmother has fostered her interest over the years, buying her numerous makeup kits, much to her dad’s dismay. “She’s quite a makeup artist. She’s amazing,” Knowles-Lawson told Entertainment Tonight. “She puts stones [on her eyes] and does all this fancy stuff. She can do a perfect cat eye. She’s a little artist.”

The proud grandma let Blue give her a makeover when she was 9 years old and posted her work on Instagram. “My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today. She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup? She Beat My Face ❤️Gonna save me a lot of money on make up artist fees 😂❤️, ” she captioned the post.

In May 2023, Beyoncé embarked on the Renaissance World Tour, her first solo tour in nearly seven years. During her concert in Paris, Beyoncé brought out a special guest for her performances of “My Power” and “My Parade” — Blue.

The 11-year-old hit the stage during the dance breakdowns, showing off her choreography skills alongside Queen Bey’s backup dancers.

“Give it up for Blue,” Beyoncé told the crowd, who broke into applause for her daughter after the performance.

The proud mom continued singing her praises afterward, posting a series of images and videos of Blue performing. “My beautiful first born 🙏🏾 I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel,” she captioned the Instagram post.

A week later, Blue took the stage again during her mom’s stop in London, where she danced to Beyoncé’s “My Power” and again during a rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright.”

In July 2023, Blue’s grandmother Tina Knowles-Lawson raved about her grandaughter’s dance skills.

“She’s having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard,” Knowles-Lawson told PEOPLE. “She is 11 years old, and she had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better. So, I’m the proud grandma, always.”

She attended the London premiere of her mom’s concert film

In November 2023, Beyoncé and Blue walked the red carpet together at the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

Following the event, Blue’s grandmother shared a clip of the mother-daughter duo posing for photos. “This has me in tears right now,” Knowles-Lawson captioned the post on Instagram.

She collaborates with her famous parents

It appears as though Blue Ivy has a future in show business. From a young age, she has collaborated with her parents on numerous projects, including starring in ads for her mom’s IVY PARK x adidas clothing collection, appearing in multiple music videos like Beyoncé’s “Spirit” and “Formation” (the latter when she was just 4 years old) and even spitting a few freestyle verses in bonus tracks on JAY-Z’s album 4:44.

Despite such talent, JAY-Z revealed that he doesn’t want to push any of his children into the business.

“Feeling loved is the most important thing a child needs, you know?” he said during a 2021 interview with The Sunday Times. “Not, ‘Here’s this business that I’m going to hand over to you, that I’m creating for you.’ What if my child doesn’t want to be in music or sports?”

JAY-Z continued: “I have no idea, right? But as long as your child feels supported, and feels loved, I think anything is possible.”

During a father-daughter date at the 2023 Super Bowl, the preteen posed on the sidelines ahead of the game.

In the now-viral moment, JAY-Z was seen crouching down on the sidelines, taking different angles of his daughter striking a pose wearing Roc Nation attire, which provided entertainment for the halftime show.

This wasn’t the first time he showed off his photography skills. He similarly snapped a photo of his daughter and a friend jumping in the end zone at the 2022 Super Bowl.
