“Celebrity yachts” are often in the headlines. Jeff Bezos’ Y721, which prompted the bridge debate, is the latest example. It seems less popular than the Seven Seas.
The Slash Gear poll’s victory was ᴜnеᶍρеϲtеd, as Michael Jordan’s superyacht Joy placed second. 35% of respondents wanted a private Seven Seas trip. Steven Spielberg’s yacht, not the newly launched one.
The superyacht’s new owner, who took over last year, renamed it Man of Steel and brought it to the premium charter market, but the public will always call it “Steven Spielberg’s yacht.”
Oceanco’s 282-foot (86-meter) sailboat remains stunning twelve years after its debut. Its large health center, which contains a gym, sauna, and massage room, and its main swimming pool, which has a movie screen and a master suite with a deck, are famous. Jacuzzi and two pools are available.
Unfortunately, a week on Steven Spielberg’s former $150 million superyacht costs more than $1 million, adding to the ship’s mystique.
