Using the Internet in 1979

This is what using the (predecessor of the) Internet looked like in 1979. It was called BBS, and it took quite an effort to make it work. But then it gave satisfaction… Text based or binary file downloads only! You could dial into a remote computer and work on it like you were there, using telnet service, or exchange files using ftp services. You could also access newsgroup information systems using nntp service. Still in use today – lowest levels programmers still build programs using these.
